  1. It'd be even better with a Yankees loss as well going in to the all star break.
  2. You better Bolieve
  3. We've had a lot of greats over the past 20 years with mediocre teams behind them (Clemens/Halladay/Bautista to name a few)
  4. I'm having a yard sale tomorrow so I can't watch this game, but just win please. I want my early day to start off with good news.
  5. PVR is your friend, my friend. Or do you have stream only?
  6. I'm surprised King made it alive across that highway.
  7. Hutchison has options correct? Couldn't the Jays option Drew and bring up either a bat or a relief arm for the next 10 days? He's not schedule to start this series, then a 4 day break and just 3 days later he could be called up and cycled in to the 4th or 5th slot. I guess it comes down what order of pitching you want to set up after the All Star break.
  8. Sorry you're right, I was looking at the AAV of the contract. $17 would be more tradeable. f***, that's ugly.
  9. Yes, I'm not suggesting he's not a front of the rotation arm nor will he be successful. It's just a lot of arms from the NL don't always translate in to success in the AL and our division has many potent bats (including DH spots) in hitter friendly parks. Hamels/Cueto might not be best suited here. I guess if the rental choices are limited to Cueto/Shark, I'd prefer whoever between them is more likely to succeed here rather than who might cost more. Shark's already made the jump to the AL and maybe less of a risk. Josh Johnson didn't exactly pan out for us. Too bad Boston is finding success because Buchholz was probably available.
  10. Who has the best chance of being successful against the AL East at the homer dome? None of them have much of a track record against our opponents and there's always a risk bringing an NL pitcher to the AL East basing projections on all things equal. Maybe they should consider AL rentals instead? (I understand Shark is AL, but still very limited experience vs AL East).
  11. $17MM/yr through 2017 and a $4MM buyout for 2018. Jose Reyes is not trade-able.
  12. Mostly referring to what just happened.
  13. Probably a bunch of suckers who are going to ship out some top prospects for Samardzija now.
  14. This team really needs 4 days off, regroup, then make a couple trades, get the excitement going again and prep for a dogfight.

  16. Then when the Jays just hit in to a double play, Hawk becomes a f***ing 15yr old fanboy. YES YES YES OH YEAA
  17. I've had the White Sox feed going all game. When you're not actually watching the game you would have no clue wtf is going on. It's just "Fair ball", tweet tweet tweet, cricket cricket. Unless it's a home run by the Sox or they are moving up a base you would think it's a rain delay.

  19. That was f***ing pretty. damn.
  20. Actually, most teams muster a few runs off Samardzija per game and more than 3 hits through 7.
  21. oh yea there was that time.
  22. If we got to face the White Sox more often all of our trash pitchers would do better.
  23. Do we ever hit great pitching?
