    I heard on baseball central there are other PED cases in appeal process and they didn't identify teams. If it does come out that a big name Jays player is one of them, would it surprise you given how were playing?

    It's hard to blame the 9th batter in the 9th inning of a 1 run game when we had 2 on, none out in the 8th starting with Bautista and everyone failed.

    Firstly, Ryan Goins was not an above average player last year. A 1.5 WAR player is average at best, but above replacement level as an adequate bench role player. However, Barney gives us essentially the same value and currently has the hotter bat between the two scrubs.

    In April & May last year the Jays lead the majors in runs scored and were last in the AL in ERA... our offense is exactly why we won any games first half of last season... The defense & pitching improved at the deadline which pushed us over the edge, it wasn't Tulo's bat...

    Most armchair GMs and analytic experts have never played baseball in their life. I would say if you've played at the major league level that's an asset because you can relate better with the players. It doesn't mean you are giving your personal hitting technique to better players than yourself...

    lol true, but did we fail as much in high leverage situations? We could afford to be s***** with guys like Todd Redmond, Colt Hynes and Miguel Castro when the offense was clicking from the get go so people didn't take much notice. The waste of a year of service time on Osuna/Castro was probably a bigger story than their results at the time.

    In hindsight, we got pretty lucky with the Pillar throw to second, they could have done more damage there as well.
