    The only thing he has been dealing lately is meatballs and good pitchers recover from errors. There is no scapegoat for his piss poor pitching this season.

    If Estrada keeps pitching like this the rest of the season he will have one heck of a overvalued payday coming.

    The Yankees need to implode for us to have a shot at the division. If they go on a 6-15 run we will catch them. I do like our chances for a wildcard spot and even a win in the wildcard game. With price pitching and our offense behind him, we have a legit shot of making a playoff series by less conventional means.

    Price is good in his own right. If there is anything to the dickey effect, and I expect there is in games where he goes 7+, I think Hutch stands more to gain.

    My favorite thing about this whole thing is this: From Yost: "I thought Jim Wolf did a tremendous job understanding the game, understanding what's intentional," From Volquez: "He was crying like a baby [...] He can't take it. I don't know why. He hit a lot of homers in the first couple of games and he was pimping everything he does. Somebody hits you, you've got to take it, because you're pimping everything you do" So basically Yost is totally f***ing wrong because Volquez admits to throwing at Donaldson (twice) intentionally. Volquez should have been thrown out in the third inning. That probably would have ended the thing. You cant give both teams a warning then let the same pitcher throw up and in intentionally and get away with it.

    Stroman Hutch Osuna ----- ----- Dickey has said he doesnt want to play here next year. MB is done. Price wont be resigned. Estrada is a JA Happ type that will demand a lot of money based on 1 good season.... there should be dozens of pitchers like him available. Normally I would say we would have to trade for pitching, but im hoping some of the moves AA has made will convince pitchers we want to win.

    If this season falls apart he can deal EE and Bautista and refill the farm. This was a good time to make these kinds of moves. Norris, Castro and Hoffman can be replaced easily enough. There is a good chance the others dont pan out at all.

    My recollection was that we imploded after the allstar game with a good chunk of the lineup getting injured.

    Price was the "all in" trade. Some say that is too big of a price to pay for a wildcard game. The upshot is, we will have price available to pitch for that 1 game, backed by the best offense in the majors. We have a better than %50 chance of making the playoffs with 2 months to go for the first time in a long time.
