Nah, it was more about reading about Kirby Yates and wanting to keep him. Figured Matz was the most valuable of him, Nova and big Erv. I wouldn’t put too much stock in off breaking balls in his first ST start. -

I love Babcock and all but it’s ridiculous that Polak and Komorov are getting so much ice time. Polak is absolutely terrible - was signed way-too-soon after a gruesome knee injury, has obviously lost a step and is now racking up top 3 minutes. Komorov has like 2 even strength points all year, but is getting the same ice time as Matthews. At this point, he’s a great 4th liner who kills penalties and that’s it. Oh well, maybe this season is all a big Babs lesson towards the kids to work hard or something and everything will be right come playoffs...

I took a look at it, and I'm not sure if the rules that JG posted have necessarily been followed. Panarin and Plotnikov were both selected in the 2015 prospect draft, so I guess precedent would show that Spank is okay with this pick. Any of our commissioners available to weigh in on this?

Is Rosen a legal pick? Undrafted players from overseas who are coming to the NHL will not be eligible for the prospect draft, but will be waiver draft eligible.
