  1. They're in a good spot right now. 3 Points back of Boston and 5 games in hand.
  2. Some of those flyouts leave the park at Roger's Centre. [tweet]827567499252228097[/tweet}
  3. I'd love to pick up Park. Jays should be all over him.
  4. There could be some really fun 1st round matchups. Sens vs Leafs Habs vs Bruins Capitals vs Rangers
  5. A good compromise would be to have the Winner and Runner up draft in the last 2 spots and the rest of the order be determined by Regular Season finish. Pretty sure thats how the NFL does it (might be top 4 in playoffs but same thing).
  6. Pitching is usually going to be a bit lower because of injury risk.
  7. Hot chicks tweet at all athletes lol.
  8. where did Oscar De La Cruz end up?
  9. Pat McAfee retired and is now doing a show for Barstool Sports. 29 Years old lol
  10. Yeah probably should have said just Stroman.
  11. Carlos Martinez signed a 5 year $51 Million extension. Would you sign Stroman or Sanchez to that same deal? Each of them have an additional year of control so it isn't the perfect comparison.
  12. Exciting game. Thomas is so good. Basically him vs Lowry.
  13. Hitting vs LHP is included in those projections though and the Jays don't need him vs LHP, also Smoak would barely be getting PA vs Lefties. Unless you are sitting Pillar for Upton vs LHP and shifting Pearce to LF, but then the loss of defence in 3 positions kills the upgrade on offence. vs LHP 1B Pearce LF Upton RF Bautista DH Morales The 8 Million comes from dumping Smoak's $4 Million which also doesn't include the salary next year. I really wanted an upgrade over Smoak and thought Moss was perfect, but Carter is not the answer IMO.
  14. If he still had the exact same changeup and velocity difference he would be way more effective.. He's really good because of the deception and velo difference. If hes throwing 92 high in the zone with the same changeup its giving the hitter even less reaction time making it harder to hit.
  15. If anyone needs Spring Training Tickets I have tickets to most of the games as I have season seats.
  16. Carter wRC+ vs RHP 2015: 102 2016: 107 Smoak wRC+ vs RHP 2015: 105 2016: 99 Add in defense and its not even clear Carter is an upgrade. Certainly isn't worth $8 Million to dump Smoak and sign Carter.
  17. Velocity always matters, the higher the velo the more difficult it is to hit. Its like when people say Marco Estrada doesn't need to throw hard to be effective. He can still be effective at his current 89-90 MPH but if he was throwing 2-3 MPH harder he'd be a lot better than he is. On the flip side anytime velocity drops it becomes easier to hit that pitcher.
  18. I find his constant pumping of his HDMH brand more annoying than anything else. But I'm still really excited to watch him pitch, which is really all that matters.
  19. I'll go with Pompey in LF against RHP. Certainly better than Zeke and Upton. Upton has only had a >75wRC+ once in the last 4 years and he had a .352 BABIP. The BB and K numbers were basically all the same.
  20. He made it but that was an awful possession.
  21. Offence hasn't been good in OT.
  22. So this is the current bullpen Osuna Grilli Biagini Loup Howell Sparkman Bolsinger/Floyd
  23. Yes, I said that. Also said its not an attractive job for the reasons I mentioned. The NFL sideline reporter is a big job so maybe if she wanted to go for that, this would be a good move but I don't think many people in the industry think highly of it.
