    What are the seating options for these packs? I know for the other packs the best you could get for outfield was like row 10, which to me isn't worth it.

    No the draw of the event was to be able to mingle with management and ask questions that the mainstream media doesn't ask. I can't stand hearing the same f***ing questions being asked about Edwin all the time. I want to know things about the ST facility, RC renovations, player development focus etc. and I'm not getting those answers listening to Jeff Blair and Bob MCCown.

    Rockies have a pretty good team. Management still seems clueless, however.

    His batted ball profile isn't great. Lots of weak contact on the ground.

    What do Atkins and Shapiro being more open to the media have anything to do with the State of the Franchise event? A lot of people go there to be able to talk/meet management and partake in some adult beverages and food.

    Doesn't really matter, Goldschmidt is going to be the starter anyway. Perhaps Freeman wanted to start.

    The Fan Festival isn't even popular either, and pretty crappy. Other teams in the league hold 3 day events in the Winter and have a bunch of players and alumni there to sign autographs for the fans. The Blue Jays one is held while the team is on the road and basically its just watching the game on the big screen with a few activities and food.

    Speaking of Subscription based journalism, anyone sign up for the Athletic? Only around 35$ for the year I think and they Lott, Keri, + a couple of other baseball guys for the Blue Jays season. I went ahead and got it and have been pretty happy so far. The Raptors content is pretty good as well. With the journalism industry in Canada being pretty s***** I'm happy to give a little contribution to some talented writers who got pushed out by the big name newspaper companies.

    Some people s*** on the event but I like it. That group of position players is going to be really fun to watch. Just imagine Trout and Harper were on there too.

    When has that happened before? You need to revamp the coaching staff if Russ is the only one who can help him with his receiving skills.

    Its not about avoiding questions or anything like that, its about money... They didn't want to pay for all the food and alcohol plus the employees needed to accommodate 20K people. If they replace the event with an additional benefit for STH it will be fine but to announce this and not have anything else lined up is a bad look for the organization.

    Does their 100 wRC+ in the 2nd half really change anything though? I've really liked what they have done this offseason but at the end of the day the team still is the 4th best in the division. If things break right I can see them in Wild Card contention, but you could say the same thing about a lot of teams.

    Yeah but the problem is outside Longo and KK the entire starting lineup are below average players. They have a couple of intriguing players that could return to stars like Duffy and Rasmus but for the most part the lineup is pretty bad. They need to find stars more than fill holes I think. Really like the pitching staff though.

    They look like an 80 Win team. I wouldn't call them dangerous.

    Wonder what the Rays have been offered for Archer. They are going to have to tear it down pretty soon, they've been stuck in mediocrity for a while now.

    Well its certainly a factor (at least their splits vs LHH) but I'd agree in saying they need more than a LOOGY. Girado and Dermondy could probably fill that role if Loup goes down. I'd still prioritize LF over the pen.

    They must have though the bat was going to break out. AGM Joe Sheehan was really big on signing him back when AA was here so maybe he was the one pushing it.

    I'm sure there are countless other players who will continue to drive under the influence even after this. The most dangerous part is probably the speed they are driving at. Its one thing to drive after one too many, but when you drive like 160Km/H all it takes is a split second and you're dead.

    Astros have Gurriel. Sure Smoak would be a fit for a couple of teams but there are too many 1B FA out there. If it was only a 1 year deal you could likely unload it but not team is going to want to commit to a 2nd year. Moss, Napoli, Lind, Morrison, Loney all still out there. Napoli, Moss

    When will these kids learn about driving under the influence.. So sad. Ventura, Fernandez, Taveras all within the last couple of years.
