  1. Season just has been a disaster. 3 most important Position players all on the DL (Donaldson, Tulo and Martin)
  2. The Expected value in getting the first pick is likely a lot lower than the amount of $ the Blue Jays will lose by being that bad. There's a very big incentive for the Blue Jays to continue to stay relevant.
  3. Hoffman was picked 9th. Too bad they didn't take Conforto who went 10th.
  4. I was at the Sens-Rangers game yesterday and it was definitely a top 3 hockey game in my life.
  5. Basically every team in the Eastern Conference will have to wait until Lebron retires until they have a shot at a title. There's just no getting by him if he's healthy.
  6. JB Woodman has struck out 38% of the time and only has an ISO of .127.
  7. Its not bad if you have 2 seats since you can exchange 20 games per season. Used to be great as you could change the crap weeknight games to games in the summer when more people wanted to go. But this year they clamped down so you have to trade the crap games for other crap games and so on. And now you have to do it 24 hours before. Nice thing about season tickets for me is I have aisle seats which I find is a huge benefit IMO especially Rogers Centre with how jammed pack the seats are.
  8. You go to Dunedin for the Cinco de Mayo parade yesterday? Heard it was great.
  9. I think you suspend pitchers 10 games minimum if they deem to be throwing at someone intentionally. Need to rid the game of this stupidity.
  10. Are Fangraphs batted ball numbers wrong for Minor Leaguers? Seems every player has a crazy high IFFB%.
  11. Go look at the video of Stroman's hit and watch Sanchez's reaction.
  12. Don't want to kill the rally with a HR..
  13. He guesses a lot. Seen him swing at some bad breaking balls.
  14. Was he officially offered one or was the thought he was going to be offered one so that is why he signed the deal? I can't remember the specifics of it.
  15. Of course not but its going to be a factor into the acquisition cost. If the Red Sox are up 4 Games in the division on July 25th and they can get Moustakas for a C prospect or have to give up Devers ++ to get Donaldson even though JD is the best player doesn't mean he's going to get a haul. 3rd base is different than a SP or even OFer where you can just move a CF to LF. You could move a 3rd baseman to 1st base or DH but thats about it.
  16. He must be hurt or something because he's been one of the very worst players in all of MLB so far. Can't fault Gibby not playing him, Smoak has been a lot better. And he's a concrete post out in LF so unless he's hitting a ton not worth it.
  17. He's terrible, Josh Thole level hitter. But compared to Saltlamachia and Navarro he's an upgrade which is sad. Its too bad they couldn't sing Norris.
  18. What'd you mean? He lives in Toronto and only is gone weekends for SNB and College Basketball during the winter. ESPN also pays him Millions, money that no PxP would ever get. Why the hell would he want to be travelling all summer doing the daily grind?
  19. My god Madani is awful. Only SN would replace Barry Davis with someone 10X worse.
  20. Gibby going full Neil Wagner on Barnes here
  21. Because then you blow his arm out. He's better than half the bullpen anyway.
  22. Why does Gibbons always use Barnes for multiple innings? He's always been a 1 inning guy..
  23. What could they realistically get though? Red Sox could trade Devers and a couple other prospects, is that enough? You're going to have Frazier and Moustakas on the market as well and the number of competing teams with a need for 3rd base is very small. Might make more sense to hold on to him.
  24. Exactly it really only effects a couple of months. I mean if the Leafs/Raptors made the finals then no one would care about the Jays until June but there's nothing else in the summer time. Even if the Jays are bad lots of people will still go to games in July/August.
