  1. Is it the same as the garbage this guy is saying?
  2. That is one of the dumbest things iv'e ever heard. Every f***in team wants the division...
  3. Do you not understand what I am saying? Looking at head to head matchups is pretty useless when predicting games in the future. Blue Jays swept the As at home and the As did the same thing later on in the season when the Blue Jays went there. Baseball is a game of individual matchups not like football where you could say a teams Defensive style really matches up well with another team's offence and so on.
  4. Doesn't really matter who they play, they played some of their best baseball against a really tough schedule coming out of the break. Those teams you listed are not very good and much weaker than the teams they played on their big run.
  5. Like I said one or two games doesn't matter really. The Orioles will have to play like .420 ball for the Jays to win the division. Even if they had no Machado for the rest of the season it would be really difficult not to win the division.
  6. Its one game I don't think you can draw conclusions from that. At least wait 4 or 5 games.
  7. lol at that last swing. Was completely fooled by the timing.
  8. I think they were going to PH for him anyway since Lind came in for Valencia.
  9. Anyone listening to Hawk? Id love to hear the call this inning haha
  10. Melky's swing is just so nice to look at. Just beautiful
  11. I wouldn't call an 8.3% chance very much in this. More an extremely unlikely chance they could make it. A loss would almost certainly kill it.
  12. Does it matter? We know win or lose the team won't be making the post season...
  13. For the value Dickey provides he is worth his contract and it would be hard to replace that as well. I think you have to trade Buehrle provided it would help the team. Obviously you would move anyone for the right return...
  14. Sounds pretty encouraging but like the author says anyone who thinks hes a number 2 starter is going to be disappointed. He'll strike some guys out but hes going to give up his fair share of hits since he works up in the zone and the command is still very much a work in process.
  15. I know I meant that Drabek's upside is probably that of Chad Jenkins.
  16. His stuff has deteriorated though. The Kyle Drabek you will see now is not the Kyle Drabek of 2012 in terms of stuff. His fastball is more 91-93 with very little life, a far cry from the 94-96 with great movement we saw previously. He's probably more of a Chad Jenkins now and I doubt he is better than Jenkins will ever be.
  17. A position player is more valuable usually though because of the injury risk with pitchers. You might take a 3win pitcher over a 3 win position player if you only have one or two years of control left but I would think if you are talking about guys with over 4 years of control left you take the position player because pitchers are more likely to become hurt or less effective.
  18. I don't think umps need help calling the strike zone. Maybe someone tells them to call the movement of the ball and not where the catcher catches it but from my TV without looking at pitch tracker I'd say I can call the actual strikes with almost 100% certainty so that leads me to believe the umps can.
  19. When Norris's command is on he is almost unhittable. His command has gotten away from him at times but the stuff is just so good from the left side. Hard not to root for a guy who has his makeup as well.
