  1. For everyone back besides Lawrie this lineup looks pretty crap on paper.
  2. Classic Buck. If the ball hit the dirt he would still say this.
  3. sounds like he stayed up past his bedtime last night and is cranky today.
  4. You know there is going to be inconsistency from a guy coming back from TJS. Blame management for having the team count on him as a number 3 starter
  5. Has been that way all season. Hutch rarely pitches down in the zone.
  6. You think AA would of traded him to a team he knew would give him less? There wasn't much value for him trade wise as Tampa gave up barely anything to acquire him from Miami. The homophobic slur killed all the value he had.
  7. I still don't understand how you go into the season with no 2nd baseman and no RH 4th outfielder. Having Sierra to start the season was an extreme head scratcher.
  8. I think AA is a guy who would do that. He will listen on everyone including guys like even Bautista and EE. What teams out there are a fit for Buehrle?
  9. I have no doubt there would be interest in Buehrle and Reyes. The Dodgers traded for Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez with those contracts and Vernon Wells was moved once upon a time. There is a ton of money in the game and Reyes and Buehrle don't have extreme term to them compared with others around the league.
  10. He's a great AGM. He struggles with the daily operations of a roster but he is great with a key areas like contracts, scouting and the Intl Market.
  11. You shouldn't strike quickly to make a move that is not the best move for the franchise though. I think AA regrets the trade even though he wouldn't say it publicly and that he isn't a bad GM. He seems to struggle operating a team with a higher budget as the first couple years he made a ton of great trades that looked like steals.
  12. Then give Anibal Sanchez an extra 10 million$..Overpay for some free agents instead of giving up assets for guys on free agent contracts.
  13. Rogers loves AA because he is very good at talking to the media and can hide the fact they didn't give him money this year. AA takes the blame and is willing to say that to cover for Rogers which Rogers loves. Had Riccardi been in the same situation he could of come out and say we are maxed out of payroll and can't add anyone which would be terrible PR for Rogers. AA can shift the blame away from Rogers. All that being said I think AA is a decent GM. He has definitely improved the farm system and has showed he is pretty good at signing guys to team friendly contracts. The real problem lies with Paul Beeston and untill he is gone you won't find a better GM than AA.
  14. Wilner will always use stats that appeal to his argument. If Headley was hitting .300 and only had under a .700 OPS e would be saying how he has no power. I actually don't mind him too much but he always has to sound like he is right which I find really annoying.
  15. Just be thankful you are able to witness him pitch. In 3 years most likely he will become ineffective or hurt and we will be looking back to just how dominant he was. Knock on wood.
  16. Even if Headley were to get hurt its worth the risk of giving u a couple low level prospects for. I don't get the argument of "you expect Lawrie to come back" because Lawrie could of just slid over to second base... An upgrade is an upgrade no matter how you do it.
