  1. But the risk of giving a reliever that much money was a bad decision. Even if he had 2 really good years and one decent one before falling off a cliff the deal would of been a bad one.
  2. Especially with his injury concerns. Has only played 75 games once in the last 5 years and already has an injury in TC.
  3. NHL player props came out on Bodog. Here are a few of my picks: Bobby Ryan 53.5-Over John Taveras 86.5-Under Malkin 89.5-Under Jason Spezza 64.5-Over Kyle Turris 57.5-Over
  4. We had that the last couple of years of JP's tenure lol.
  5. I think sometimes change can be a good thing. Brings a new face and changes the culture around the team. Not sure how much of an effect it has in baseball but if you look around the 3 other sports coaching changes seem to have a good impact out of the gate for teams.
  6. Masai said yesterday when they have a week with a lot of games they will send him to the D league so he is getting playing time since they won't be practicing much.
  7. I find I'm not to bad at pre season win totals but picking game to game is just a recipe to lose money.
  8. Not to mention he actually seems like a good guy. No complaints about keeping him.
  9. I don't get this minimize injury talk about Bautista. Why would you want to move a guy who has played an average to above average RF to 1B when he doesn't want to and it wouldn't help the team be better? You would have to move Lind or EE if that is the case and you can't tell me the team would be better.
  10. If the Jays had a chance to get a catcher like Vasquez there is not a chance that Thole would still be here.
  11. If Pillar makes this team its as a platoon RHB in the OF. He won't be starting.
  12. how many 90 win season in the last 3 years? He is clearly not a good manager anymore.
  13. why
  14. If you are talking 2 years down the line then maybe I'd agree but if you are talking about this coming season then not a chance. 1B is probably worse for Bautista's health then it is in the OF because of the constant bending. Bautsita's value takes a huge hit of you move him to 1B and there is no need to since he has played an above average RF. If you are concerned about his health you can always DH him once every 2 weeks.
  15. Looks really bad lol. I don't even bet the NFL anymore. Realized you will never win with any consistency.
  16. Going to need a better coach and management for them to be anywhere close to Chicago. They just signed Brad Stuart for another 2 years today.
  17. He's not going to play anyways lol. I guess training camp and the pre season could be good for his development but Ill take Bruno being injured over any of the main 9 guys.
  18. In all honestly Gibby is probably a top 8 manager in the MLB. People who think he is a problem don't really know much about baseball.
  19. The thing is Francisco wasn't even bad if you only had to give him 150 ABs. He was actually worth positive value. Same with Gose. The problem was not having a 2nd baseman for the entire season and not having a RH platoon in the OF early in the season. There isn't one team out there that had the depth on the minors to survive the injuries to the position players the Jays had.
  20. The TV ratings I think is misleading. Football will always have some of the highest ratings because the sport is only played once a week. Argos ratings may be higher but the Blue Jays TV deal is far more valuable since they play every day and will post strong ratings for 5 to 6 days a week.
  21. If you aren't comfortable knowing who the talent on the farm system is should you be saying its a reason why the team isn't performing.
  22. Even with the promotions of the pitchers this is a top 8 farm maybe even better..Can't say the minor league talent is depleted.
  23. Honestly I think that trade is a lose-lose trade for both teams. No point in doing that deal for both sides.
  24. Better OPS than wins and batting average. Since the Jays play in a hitter's park there is no harm in making player's value seem higher by referencing OPS. If the team played in a pitcher's park I'm sure he would talk about park factors..
  25. Why the f*** would the Phillies want Romero and Izturis?
