  1. Is it just me or is TNF always the shittiest game of the week? f***in terrible games the last 3 weeks.
  2. I could see the argument of trading at peak value but is the haul really going to get a lot better trading him now compared to next offseason or the trade deadline in 2016?
  3. Lol as im about to respond to this post he has a wide open guy and misses him. Not a good time for Florida St. QBs.
  4. I really don't see the As trading Donaldson this offseason unless its a massive upgrade in multiple areas. I didn't realize Donaldson had 4 years of control left so it is probably a deal that is pretty fair value wise but as someone mentioned earlier Oakland doesn't really have to move him. Is a team really going to give up a lot more value for 4 years left of control compared to 3 and even 2? When is the last time a position player star was moved with 4 years of Arb. left? Can't really think of a similar scenario.
  5. Its like the argument of the best 1/2 combo and having Lebron + random dude.
  6. For right now I have Lowry/Derozan 2nd behind Curry and Klay. Wall and Beal will probably be better in a year or 2 though. Lowry will start declining soon.
  7. Same list here but sub out Leafs for Sens. I feel so lucky to be a Colts fan to go from franchise QB to another and only have one bad season.
  8. I don't think you can make your mind up from seeing him a few times when he plays the Jays but I know what you are saying. I remember he made a terrible read on a line drive in RF. I think he would be a decent defender in LF and a lot better than Melky but the baserunning is concerning a little. He seems like a guy who would be a decent number 2 hitter as with the power bats behind him his baserunning could hide behind that a bit.
  9. Probably but I wouldn't do that from the Jays perspective.
  10. the media are the ones saying that about Donaldson. I doubt he gets traded in the offseason.
  11. Aoki would be a decent LF if you don't sign Melky. For some reason last year he was the worst baserunner in the MLB by a lot. If you took Ortiz and Navarro's baserunning combined it still wasn't as bad as Aoki's was last season.
  12. Both seem like a 2nd round playoff team with a small chance to get to the 3rd round.
  13. Oh my god. I sincerely feel bad for you. If you were a Raptors fan at least you could look forward to this year.
  14. Colts lol. Playoffs year in and year out and a Superbowl. Much better than cheering for the Vikings if you ask me.
  15. I agree the trade was more of a PR move then a hockey move but looking back on it the 1st round pick really is the only piece that hurts to give up. But you have to look at the situation right now and if you let an asset walk for nothing in the offseason you look terrible. If you trade him you look terrible because either way it looks like you can't keep players in Ottawa and no one wants to be there. I have no problem signing a great goal scorer who will still have trade value after you sign him, its about keeping an asset. This isn't like baseball where when you sign a free agent his trade value goes down. Ryan probably has more trade value with his contract now then he did as a rental.
  16. He's a great goal scorer as evidenced by his career .138 SH%. He may not do much on the defensive end but I have no problem with this deal. The Cap hit is reasonable and wouldn't stop a team for wanting to trade him in a few years if it doesn't work out for whatever reason. And if you look at it from a non-hockey point of view it was important for the Senators to sign one of their best players longterm after the way Alfie and Spezza just left the org. If they let Ryan walk the Senators would just continue to look like a joke org. that no one wants to play for. As much as you should only look at what the player does on the ice, signing an American star to play in Ottawa looks good from around the league.
  17. Not sure why you guys are complaining. 7 Million in the NHL in a few years is going to be nothing with the way the cap is going up. I would say he probably could have gotten a lot more in free agency. When the cap goes up to 80 million in a year or 2 his 7.25 will be like 6.25 and the cap will only go keep going up if expansion happens. Also he has a modified NTC so you can still deal him in a few years if you have to go down that road. If you look past a number which may seem a little high right now, this is a pretty good deal for Ottawa when you look at all of the circumstances.
  18. I'm not sure I want Cabrera. He seemed to fall off a cliff at the end of the season and looking at his numbers, it doesn't look like he would be that good of a player. He's been a below average hitter and fielder the last 2 seasons and had less WAR in the last 2 seasons that Izturis did in his 2 seasons prior to being signed by the Jays. If we are looking at a FA infielder my first choice is Headley.
  19. Not sure you are allowed to comment on respect with the way you talk.
  20. I was thinking earlier and Blue Jays fans have to be one of the dumbest fan bases in sports. Every time I go to a game I hear people say the stupidest s*** and fans will boo any player that has previously played for the team. Fans close to the field routinely don't know if a ball is called fair or not and interfere with the game. At least when you go to Raptors games the fans know what they are doing and have good basketball etiquette.
  21. Lol "HR that went 500 feet". Even if it went 450 sounds like he has tremendous power.
  22. Id go with the former if it was one year only. Keeper league def go with the latter.
  23. Gross. Not buying one good season of Travis Snider. Lind's value would surely be higher than that.
  24. Kawasaki probably comes back on a minor league deal like last year.
