  1. Toffoli's shot on that 3rd goal was ridiculous.. Kid is going to be a star. Must be a fun time to be a LA sports fan. Dodgers and Kings are in great position and if you somehow are a Clippers fan then you loving life. Edit: The Kings scored another 2 goals while I typed this post.
  2. Gardiner is definitely better than Robidas or Polak. I wonder how Dubas and the analytic team feel about this lol.
  3. It really is funny when you think of it that way. The 3 hockey teams I hate the most are Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver yet I am a Blue Jays and Raptors fan and would have the Expos as probably my 2nd fav if it comes back.
  4. Had a huge night in the +/- category. I was +9 tonight which brings me to -10 for the week Lmao.
  5. Bump. I don't think one game means anything but Holtby doesn't seem like a No. 1.
  6. If the team was in Detroit the last 10 years you probably would see crowds in the 12 000 range there and I wouldn't say Detroit is a bad hockey market. That much losing would have small crowds in 75% of the cities in the NHL. In 2003-2004 the Blackhawks and Penguins averaged 13,253 and 11,877 respectively. Those 2 cities would be considered 2 of the stronger hockey markets in the NHL south of the boarder. That being said I think the Panthers should be moved to Toronto, Quebec City, Seattle or Kansas City.
  7. Was never saying there was comp.
  8. I always wondered why the big market teams don't just go to the best GM's and offer them something ridiculous like $20 million/year. The elite GMs probably bring in at least that amount of surplus value to the org. so make them an offer they can't refuse.
  9. Literally couldn't be a better fit than the Jays. Jays are said to be looking for more contact and OBP and 2B is their biggest need. If there was ever a time to overpay for a guy this would be it.
  10. I think Tony Lacava turned down the Orioles job to stay with the Blue Jays too. Not sure if they increased his salary but I assume he would have been paid a lot more with the Orioles.
  11. The Panthers crowds are only going to look worse as the season rolls on. They eliminated the comping of tickets so now there won't be any freebies inflating the attendance numbers. I wouldn't be surprised to see them average less than 10 000 for the season. I mean they got 11 000 for the home opener...
  12. Is there any reports on the $ he was offered? If the Dodgerrs said here we will offer you $15 million/year he would probably leave regardless. Its funny because we ridicule players for leaving money on the table but I am sure AF and BB, who are some of the smartest minds in baseball have left lots of money on the table to stay with their current orgs. in the past.
  13. A 2nd baseman with great contact and OBP skills? Its almost too perfect a fit for the Blue Jays..
  14. My guess is one of the biggest reasons AF left was that he is moving to LA. He went from one warm place to another and even though Houston is warm its not LA. Really interested to see what happens now and its good news for the Blue Jays that he is out of the division. I don't think the Rays will drop off a cliff though as the org. still has really smart people.
  15. Derozan will easily get 25M/year if he keeps up his play. Some below average team with lots of cap space will throw $ at him to try to land a star player. Amir is pretty good value at 12M if the term isn't too high. He is really efficient and brings a lot more value than his per game stats indicate. What system do you have 2K15 for? It looks to be a pretty good game by the sound of it but I have PS3 so I wonder what the game is like on the ps3 cuz all I have heard about so far is the ps4.
  16. See if we can find someone else to take over his team before its too late. If he isn't setting proper lineups in the first week of the season he never will...
  17. Proboards I think.
  18. I am now -20 through 3 days of hockey. Good thing +/- is an independent stat.
  19. Brutal. Just killed your GAA and Sv %.
  20. Go to my lineup check to see whats going on and find out Jake Gardiner is a healthy scratch. Coaching staff seems like they want to be fired..
  21. How bout them Cowboys?
  22. As a Colts fan I'm fine with it haha.
  23. LOL. I could of made that field goal...
  24. NFL draft picks are way more valuable than NBA in the sense that if you trade a top 5 pick you can get a huge return. A top NBA pick is valuable when there is a superstar draft but other than that draft picks are actually pretty bad. NHL 1st round picks are worth more than NBA picks. I would say an NFL 3rd round pick is as valuable as a NHL or NBA 1st round pick.
  25. At least you will get a top 3 pick. Draft value in the NFL is so much higher than all of the other sports.
