Masterson is always a tough matchup for the Jays it seems and with such a RH heavy lineup he will be a pretty good matchup vs us. Red Sox getting some pretty good GB pitchers for the HR happy AL East.

Holy f***, if there is no money exchanged in this deal, it literally might be one of the worst trades in the history of baseball.
Even if LA eats half the contract this is such a terrible move by San Diego. Kemp is going to be a disaster in that ballpark. Not to mention giving up a good catcher...

Well looks like there isn't nearly as much money as we thought. You would think the options would still apply for last year so last year's payroll would of been slightly higher as well. Still, when Navarro is traded there should be 15 million to play with.
So McCarthy got 4/48. For a guy who a lot of people thought was going to be around 30 million he was quite a bit more expensive. With his injury risk I wouldn't have signed him for that.
If they trade Kemp for Grandal it might swing the other way. I agree I got a little excited and completely forgot we got Saunders, Martin, Travis andd the 2nd best player in baseball the last 2 years!!
Well Amir won't ever have a play run from him, especially this year he seems like all his points are on O-rebounds. I've really like Ppats game. Doesn't force anything and is great at catching and shooting.
Its not always on the coach...Im sure Casey isn't telling guys not to pass the ball to him. Guys have to pass to him and he has to get open lets not forget.
I think the other players don't trust him in the 4th Q as much as Casey does.
Agree. The owner has made being a GM for that franchise much harder, but Murray has made some terrible decisions lately. Worst part is that apparently Melnyk wanted Maclean fired last year and Murray had to fight for Maclean to give him another chance. Maclean being fired has more to do with Melnyk than with Murray.
Watching the game a 2nd time JJ played pretty bad defense. He takes a lot of chances which leads to some easy buckets. Landry was much better in the limited time. I wouldn't be opposed to see him get some minutes off the bench. If anything it can decrease some guys minutes who are having to play a lot with DD out.
