  1. If he can take a few lessons from Smoak and cut down on the strikeouts he would turn into a pretty nice player. Nice batted ball profile but the BB to K rate is ugly.
  2. Surprised they'd make a trade like this given he doesn't seem to have too high of a ceiling and with all the OF depth already. Selling high on Leone and who knows how good Greene is. Means the Jays OF is basically set and they can spend $ on pitching now.
  3. Saw Ohtani was 5th and immediately closed it.
  4. Outside Osuna it looks pretty horrible, not one guy projected to have a FIP under 4. http://www.fangraphs.com/depthcharts.aspx?position=RP
  5. You have to look at 1B too. Yonder Alonso put up 2.4 WAR and got 2/16.
  6. You should be able to get a 1 WAR fulltime player for a lot less than $11 Million per season.
  7. They have depth in the OF and C. Problem is they don't have much impact talent on the position player side. And the pen outside Osuna is horrible.
  8. Isn't he terrible defensively.
  9. Biagini as a 5th starter is fine but the depth behind him is awful. And the bullpen looks like crap too.
  10. One thing that is concerning with Granderson is how slow has gotten. 2nd slowest CF according to Statcast last year at 26.6 Feet/Second equal to Steve Pearce in terms of footspeed. I know speed isn't everything but given he's going to be a year older I can't see him being a good enough backup for CF.
  11. That would be stupid. You would be spending way more money and lose all of the value gained by getting Cain by playing Hernandez. Pillar isn't going to get much back in a trade given how many OFers are on the market.
  12. Jays still need to find some impact/upside players. These moves make it a lot less likely to be a sub 80 win team but I'm not sure there's the upside to get in the high 80/low 90s in Wins.
  13. SanFran is one of the most storied franchises in baseball. Its not like they're the Marlins or Mets.
  14. He had a wRC+ of 72 in 2016 while walking more and striking out less. A .391 BABIP in 2017 is completely unsustainable. He sucks.
  15. This signing doesn't solve the need for another OF that's for sure. You can't go into the year with Zeke/Pearce/Hernandez starting in a corner OF and expect to contend.
  16. Why the hell did they tender Zeke a contract? Such a waste of almost 2 million. And he's a AAA player at this point.
  17. He's old as dirt but has still been a pretty productive player the last few years. I like him as a platoon bat and barely any risk at 1/5 Million.
  18. Delon Wright now shooting 38.4% from 3 averaging more than 2 attempts per game in addition to shooting over 90% from the FT line. I know his release is really slow but with his speed and agility he's probably a top 20 PG.
  19. Might be swinging a little too much to the other side. I think there's value to bringing in a big name in a trade like a Cutch more than just the projections. He's going to create hype and sell a few more tickets which is additional revenue.
  20. Thats terrible by Lowry. Twice with awful turnovers.
  21. I wouldn't say the reffing has been one-sided. There's been lots of bad fouls on Philly too. Its just the officiating is bad all around.
  22. What's the Jays equivalent on the Houston prospects? Biagini, Gurriel, Leone and JD Davis?
  23. Remarkable how good Derozan has become. His footwork around the rim and ability to finish with both hands is on another level.
  24. Man what a fantastic game. Normally these types of games don't live up to the hype and it sure looked that way through the first half but it sure delivered.
