Doubt he'd even get 6 months since he's a first time offender with no prior record (to my knowledge). The work visa would probably be the biggest roadblock to coming back if they decided to take it away.
Looks like he isn't going to play this year but next year I can see him back.
Yeah even if a video comes out of him beating the crap out of her, I still think he pitches again in the MLB. He's an elite reliever and under 25 years old. You could spin it that he's made a big mistake and changed his life etc..
I heard from someone that he threw her down the stairs and that it spilled into the courtyard. Makes the Dean Blundell story sound true.
Apparently video of it as well although you would think someone would get paid to leak it by now.
I think we need to pump the brakes on his career being over. He still has tons of talent so until he doesn't he'll have a job.
Could be a lengthy suspension though.
I guess the benefit to calling him up in September would be if they were in a playoff race and if they did make the postseason you would have him there for that as well.
Ownership really has no say in calling up or down players. Especially since its a corp. compared to a single owner. I bet you the executive board at Rogers barely has an idea who the Jays prospects are.
