Madani is horrid. Makes every single sentence he says have some stupid narrative attached to it.

Why waste him with an Extreme flyball pitcher pitching. Severino has been dominant vs RHB and not good vs LHB so far so looks like a no brainer to have Kawa in. With a PH for late innings you can put Barney in for defense later which could have a bigger influence on the game.

Severino has extreme platoon splits. Pennington has looked awful of late so a day off is probably the right call. Kawa only gets 2-3 ABs likely as you can PH after the 6th and put Barney in for defense.

I'd disagree on that. Gibby always seemed intent on playing the matchups in the beginning of the season. It was only until the pen was garbage was that he came out with these "roles" -

I think you have to think of it from the Team's perspective as well. Obviously as a manager you are going to back your guys 100% because you want your players to have confidence that you support them. If Gibby says "Well Sanchez is going to get yanked if he keeps pitching like this" only bad things will come from that. -
I dunno throwing is a lot different than swinging a bat. Also what happens when he has to dive for a ball?
