  1. Absolutely. I remember back in highschool/college being in groups and if there was a person who was a dbag it would make doing the project much more difficult
  2. lol well yeah.. You sign him to an extensions for that many years. If it doesn't work out you just fire him. GM money is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
  3. Feels like im playing MLB the show with these commentators lol
  4. Sounded like the last part of his time in Cleveland was teaching the ropes to the people who would take over his role in Cleveland. Obvioulsy he is going to keeps tabs in Toronto but if that were the case I doubt it would be easy. If you are going to keep Lacava to be the GM you might as well let AA be the GM for a year and "see how it goes" which usually is the case when a new Pres. comes in anyway.
  5. I think Shapiro needs AA to be back just so he isn't f***ed for the offseason. Once he comes on he has like 5 days to decide on the offseason strategy meanwhile he has no familiarity with anything inside the org. Even just getting acclimated to the business side will be a lot of work but adding in baseball operations is a ton to handle at one time.
  6. wtf kelly johnson is on the Mets lol?
  7. You know you could just do a survey on survey monkey then post the link on here if you really wanted to get the info lol
  8. Kevin Harlan is the man tho. Nobody better
  9. Why the hell would you want Lowry to be gone. Seems like the org is just playing it out and praying to get a good FA this offseason.
  10. Well because they couldn't score a runner from 3rd with 0 out. Dammit
  11. AJP isn't known as a great teammate lol
  12. The issue is its 2 pitchers who could blow out their arm and then you are left with paying them money for nothing. Control doesn't matter for pitchers in the same way it does for position players.
  13. Couldn't see Toronto doing it. If LA wants to get rid of him because of how terrible he is in the clubhouse Toronto sure as hell wouldn't want him.
  14. I wouldn't say thats the case. There are relievers who are very tough on RHH who are going to give a team a significant advantage if the opposing team has all RHH.
  15. His swstr% was the highest since 2007 at a still very good 9.3% and his zone contact % of 85.2% was well below any season of his career. The power is still there and he's obviously still very good but I see him aging rather quickly and I'm not sure I want to sign him to a multi-year deal after the current contract is done.
  16. Do not want Davis. Contract is going to look awful right away. Unlike the current power bats Davis strikes out 30% of the time. Lineup needs a LH bat but I'd rather get a 1B that doesn't strike out much.
  17. True. My opinion would be if you could only resign one I would pick him because I think he has lesser risk despite the age.
  18. So EE got sports hernia surgery? I would say he is the bigger injury risk going forward when compared to Bautista regardless of age. I'm not sure his body will hold up for that long even if he is a DH.
  19. When AA talks about character I don't think he gives a s*** about how the players are portrayed by opposing teams and fans but more how good of a teammate they are, desire to win etc....
  20. The feeling is Bautista isn't going to take a hometown discount when he was worth more than double his last contract.
  21. Remarkable how Bautista has been such a great hitter even at his age. His ISO and BB rate were his best since his 2011 season and his plate discipline numbers haven remained the same since he broke out. He still looks to be in tremendous shape. I think you could make the case EE has declined more than Bautista has even though he is a few years younger.
  22. He was talking to Jamie Campbell and Zaun so he's obviously going to dumb it down for the audience. Even then I have no problem with the quote because Price was a huge reason they won 3 of the 4 games and could of easily won all 4.
  23. I think you have to include the Bautista and EE extensions with the good. GM isn't just about trades and the value gained on those 2 extensions might be the best deals AA has made besides the Donaldson trade.
