    I don't think I'd want to wait too much longer to extend Stroman. Prices for pitching are increasing a ton so the longer the wait you are just going to have to pay more. Cleveland signed a lot of pre Arb guys to extensions so I would think they would want to do the same here.

    You could say that about every team though. You don't not sign players because your stars could get injured. The Jays might never have as good a team as they do now, they should try to capitalize on it.

    Why not just make the budget higher this year then? They obviously have the cash available but its a matter of how much money they want to keep.

    If Hutchison in the rotation and Chavez in the bullpen gives you the best team I'm not sure why you would start Hutch in AAA. Chavez can still be depth in the pen like Estrada was last year. Its not like there is less of an injury risk if Hutch is starting in AAA than in the Majors.

    Probably 10-12 million at least. I can't see the Jays signing 2 relievers. I think they have 134 committed already so that leaves them with 5 million or so to play with.

    If he looks good in ST he should be in the rotation, options or not. Chavez can be in the bullpen.

    Hutchison could very well be the 2nd best pitcher on the staff yet everyone has him penciled in to be the 6th starter.

    I only see the Madson deal being good if the As trade him at the deadline. The As look like the worst team in the division, if I were them I would do a 2-3 year rebuild. With the new draft slot bonuses there's a large advantage to being one of the worst teams.

    Team could really use Amir Johnson. Not sure how well he is doing in Boston but he was a perfect fit for the team.

    Sounds like the Jays would rather Saunders start in LF if he's healthy enough. 6.5 Million is a lot for a 4th OF.

    Jays should try to give Ray Searage 5-10 million to come to Toronto. He's had huge success with Happ, Liriano, Burnett to name a few.

    MVP 05 Owner Mode was pretty sweet. I wish the Show had an owner mode like that.

    I thought it was the mental performance thing which was just reported yesterday? Either way I'm sure they will hire more people this offseason.

    Baseball must be one of the most difficult games to produce. MLB the show has done a great job with so much detail but the game still could be a lot better. Adding more advanced stats would be nice. Another thing I find is that in Franchise mode players are ridiculously underpaid which to me ruins the realism of franchise mode. When I can lock up a young star player for 5 Million/year for 8 years it becomes too easy.

    2K's gameplay is complete garbage though which ruins the game. Thats been my issue with EA sports as the gameplay sucks so no matter how many good features it has the game is annoying to play.

    Interested to see what the Jays do in terms of strength/conditioning and medical. I think this is an area the Jays have been severely lacking in recent years. Biomechanics is an area where there is a huge advantage to be gained. The Pirates are one of the best.

    Awesome news! I hope they improve the game this year, its basically been the same game for 3 straight years now. It'd be sweet if they introduce a build your own ballpark feature.
