    AA had some great drafts (2010 and 2013 look really good) but I think the development system that is in place now is miles ahead of where it was. The new high perf. dept is fantastic and once a new ST facility is built I think you will really start to see prospects flourish. This is why I'm most excited about Shapiro/Atkins as they seem to understand how important development is not only for just prospects but current big leaguers. With the amount of resources they have the sky is really the limit.

    Yeah true. Donaldson was one guy to do it though, be it he came from a much worse hitting environment than Washington.

    Gibbons isn't even the one who handles player positioning. I look forward to seeing how he does this year. I'm sure the FO will give him a lot more information than what was available to him in the past.

    Hutch won't be a reliever. Switch him and Sanchez and that is likely what happens.

    They probably gave him an extra year on top of his contract so its not like its easier for the Jays to fire him. Even if the Jays were to let him go I think Bud Black gets the job before Eric Wedge.

    Lol I f***ed up my lineups that week too which would have given me the win. Oh well... Abom had a monster week this week.

    Yeah that really is dumb. They go from Tampa all the way up to Montreal for 2 days then have to come back to Tampa. There is probably a good case to hold some of the SP back since they won't be pitching in the series. I'm sure Stroman will want to see Montreal for the first time though.

    Whats Sanchez's splits solely as a Reliever? We know they are bad as a starter but I think he's been much better at getting LHH out as a reliever.

    They've already sold a whole bunch of tickets looking at the seating map for games so even if they don't do as well as we hope they will get a lot of revenue from that. The bigger unknown is the TV viewership as that will depend on how the team is doing. The Postseason is going to be the big variable though, that impacts the team the most financially.

    Cashman has said they want to get younger. Obviously they still can sign him I just think they will spend their money elsewhere.

    The Yankees seem to be going young and not signing aging players anymore. There really isn't much room for Edwin on that roster with Arod and Mccann still under contract anyway.

    I'd rather a player have confidence than the other way around, in this league you have to have that trait. Stroman uses that confidence/cockiness even more and I don't think anyone has a problem with it.

    I think having the DH spot will help with his health. I'm a little concerned with the swing and miss especially since that was a big reason why he declined offensively last year. Regardless I'm really excited to watch him this year.

    cmon Hazel... She tries to make such a big deal about the dumbest things. Like Tulo and Goins texting each other in the offseason is going to make them better at turning double plays..

    I'm as big a Tulo fan as anyone but lets not go overboard lol. He's never even had a 6 Win season in his career.
