  1. Fangraphs with an article saying Sanchez should start. Might coincide with half the board having heart attacks. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/aaron-sanchezs-place-in-torontos-rotation/
  2. I think Donaldson and EE regress offensively. Both had such great years so I guess its expected. I think Goins reverts back to being the crap hitter he was as well.
  3. Its completely ludicrous. Why not have a 5 man rotation and keep one of those "starters" in the bullpen. If he needs to make a spot start so be it but lets not kill the pitching staff flexibility because of it.
  4. Unless Stroman loses like 5 MPH of velo I have a hard time seeing him fail. Stroman has succeeded at every level while Romero was pretty bad coming up through the minors. He was good for a couple of years but his mechanics went to crap.
  5. I don't see how Hendriks couldn't have given them depth, its not like he could only go 1 inning. If it came to it he probably could throw for 4 or maybe even 5 innings. Against KC in the playoffs he had a fantastic multi inning game.
  6. Wasn't Reyes injured every April he was here? Hopefully Tulo is okay so we can break the trend of hurt SS in the opening month.
  7. Fun debate: Who has the better career as a SP, Daniel Norris or Matt Boyd?
  8. Sanchez, Lind, EE, Bautista the list goes on about "minor injuries" being DL stints.
  9. Saunder's injury was to knee though which I think is worse. I feel like a knuckle will be much quicker to heal than a knee. Have to think he will wear the padded batting glove like Lawrie did a few years ago though.
  10. I actually don't mind her. She flirts in her interviews a bit but seems to bring out the best of the people. Certainly isn't bad looking and is 100x better than Hazel Mae.
  11. What the hell happened to Bautista?
  12. Hurting your knuckle must make gripping a bat very difficult to begin with. I'd be fine with just resting him until the regular season. I don't want him anywhere near that turf in Montreal..
  13. Gibby always says it isn't serious. Said EE's injury was just something little and he hasn't even taken live BP yet. Devon Travis was only something minor same with Sanchez's lat last year, list goes on...
  14. Broken finger is 4-6 weeks which would leave a return in May. That seems like worst case scenario. If its just bruised probably best he doesn't swing the bat for 4-7 days.
  15. Yeah someone tweeted out they're waiting for Tulo to address the media which can't be good. Brings back the memories of Stroman last year. We talk about Sanchez vs Floyd but if Tulo is out for any significant amount of time that is a massive blow. Going from Tulo to Barney is one worst downgrades possible.
  16. highly doubt we see that. Estrada seems on track to start and they can skip a starter through the first turn if need be with the off day.
  17. I'm kinda scared we haven't heard anything on Tulo yet. If X rays came back negative and it was nothing you'd think you'd hear it by now.
  18. Not even just Florida but Tampa to Montreal back to Tampa. I'm sure players want to go but I'd just leave good pitchers in Florida. Hell I don't even want the position players playing on that awful turf. Between going from the playing surfaces of Montreal to Tampa to Toronto the players are going to be in wheelchairs after the first 2 weeks of the season lol.
  19. He's saying Sanchez has looked really good so if he can't make the rotation you must have a pretty f***ing good rotation.
  20. Floyd has looked good as a starter but even Sanchez has "outperformed" him. I feel like he's a much better fit for RC as well with all the groundballs and the elite infield defense behind him. Good chance he outperforms his FIP to a larger extent than Floyd would.
  21. As a guy who picked up Gavin Floyd for fantasy I think you have to give Sanchez the 5th spot at this point. He's earned it and although ST stats are pretty tough to evaluate the fact that he cut down on the walks is a huge positive. If you put him in the bullpen it just sends a bad message to the rest of the team as they all clearly would rather Sanchez starts. In terms of value it makes much more sense to have him start and worst case if he struggles in the first month you can put him back in the pen and say at least you gave it a shot.
  22. Hated at the time and hate it even more now. Hendriks in the pen would mean Sanchez starting either in MLB or AAA. I would have understood if the move was made in January if the team didn't have much depth but they paid a ridiculous amount so early in the offseason when you didn't need to. And next year Hendriks could have closed when the team loses Cecil and Storen to FA.
  23. I think the difference is they would prefer to start and relieve but ultimately they will do whatever the team wants because that is what is going to help the team win.
  24. I remember him saying in an interview they had the military/private security with machine guns follow them around everywhere and that it seemed like it was over the top. Lol funny how it turns out.
