  1. not anymore, you can watch Jays games on it with no issue
  2. I get the argument to not steal with the big bats behind you, but they never had a problem with Reyes doing it. With a success rate of 80%+ on the basepaths, I bet you could do the math that him attempting to steal against the right pitcher/catcher would results in more expected runs then him not taking off. He's one of the fastest in the game, let the man run.
  3. It's atrocious that he doesn't have one SB attempt since joining this team, so much of his value comes from his legs.
  4. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/sportsnet-says-jays-yankees-opener-most-watched-program-230147637--mlb.html Friday's game was the most watched program EVER on sportsnet. Not just for baseball games, but any sporting ever broadcast on sportsnet. That's awesome and once again a nice way to show Rogers that there is clearly a relationship between building a competitive team and building increased revenue.
  5. No need to get there any earlier than 11. We are now a couple blocks away, but we used to live in a condo where we could see the dome from our condo/balcony. Sometimes the lineups would look massive before the gates had even opened (at 11). There have been many sold out giveaway days, and even when the lineups were massive we never failed to get one and we were there at 11:30 at the absolute earliest.
  6. don't forget his dog
  7. you are doing some good work around here today
  8. It's possible. I asked my account rep this question (I have seasons) as someone at work asked me the same thing. I was told "we're considering it". Keep in mind that season tickets are going to be a minimum of $810 per seat (for 500 level). So it's a decent chunk of change just to secure playoff tickets are face value. Then you will be obligated to buy a strip of playoff tickets, so tickets to every home game for the playoffs. Of course those you could sell on stubhub easily for large profits if you didn't go to every game.
  9. Chavez looks terrible. This lineup looks great.
  10. What did they do? Please tell me they didn't boo anyone on the Jays.
  11. That's some good stuff right there.
  12. Oakland is paying us back for gifting them Danny boy. Love it
  13. As much as people like to focus on his BABIP every time he gets a hit, his offensive production this year is not simply a function of luck.
  14. No, his name is Chris Colabello.
  15. Eventually people will have to stop calling Colabello's production at the plate just "luck".
  16. I notice you ignore the advance ticket sales point that was made - those sales have drastically increased. And despite August being a good month last year, it's still going to be significantly better this year. Again, it's a big deal and substantial bump in revenue.
  17. Yes, TV ratings are gold in the game Rogers is in.
  18. Skyrocketing isn't the word, but you are definitely downplaying the impact on revenue this is having. Last year they were not even close to filling as many seats as right now. Games in September have much less availability then they did last year. And those games will sell out, something that hasn't happen for September games in a very very long time. The marginal rise in expenses from extra fans at the stadium is minimal and certainly offset by the added revenue from concessions/merchandise etc. It's a big deal.
  19. By a whopping 0.1% according to FG. BP has the Jays chances as 12.9% vs. the Royals at 10.3%
  20. on stubhub yes. But they aren't that expensive when you buy them direct. Secondary market for tickets will be very expensive
  21. Last year the world series was about $100 for upper bowl, $350 for lowers. ALDS was about 70 and 285 if I remember correctly
  22. That was the Red Sox' doing, though somehow convinced LAD to take on Beckett, Crawford and Gonzalez and all of their salary
  23. You will have some sort of priority yes. I have season tickets and then also buy lots of flex packs each year. Last year my season ticket account had first access and could buy 4 seats in the same section as my seasons a week or two before everyone else. My flex pack account could buy whatever was available but there was no guarantee of what section you would get. So you might only get uppers even if your flex pack seats were lower bowls. My assumption is that these new 6 pack ticket holders will get access after the previous flex pack holders so the selection may be limited in terms of sections.
