  1. Gibby said injury was not progressing as quickly as they had hoped
  2. I suspect Schultz will be sent to the minors after the game and Thole called up.
  3. Hutchison is a great example of the limitations of relying solely on advanced stats. He hasn't just been unlucky, he has pitched poorly and has been constantly missing his spots. If you're a fan who has watched his starts it's fairly easy to see that his location has been off and because of poor fastball command his secondary stuff hasn't been as effective. Advanced stats are great and obviously have revamped the analysis of the game, but they have their limitations. If you relied solely on them when it came to Hutchison you wouldn't realize the holes his game has had this year. Here's hoping he corrects them.
  4. Won't take him long though, 3 weeks and you can be up to 80 pitches. Keep him in the minors and stretch him out as best you can and get him up here early/mid Sept
  5. Last year I had to put down a deposit on World Series tickets (and every other round) before the season ended (I'm a season ticket holder). My premium dugout seats (so $75 face during regular season) were $375 for the world series if I remember correctly. A hefty bump from regular game prices.
  6. Dude, that's awesome. Really well done.
  7. It was intentional. There's little debate over that, him always being on the verge of unraveling doesn't matter when you know you're gonna be ejected anyways. And I accept the suspension, but to not hand something out to Volquez after his comments......and nothing to Ventura after his threats to Bats is absurd
  8. Volquez all but admitted to throwing at JD and Ventura threatened Bautista. Combine that with the history of the Royals and there's no way they should get off with nothing.
  9. That article was ridiculous right from the start. Obviously I didn't expect the rotation to be as bad as it has been but saying they had 5 aces was absolutely ridiculous.
  10. Listen to the ovation he's gonna get, baseball is back in Toronto
  11. Most strikeouts by a Jays starter this year achieved in his first start. Unbelievable, I still can't believe he's pitching for us. Cloud nine!!
  12. That's only the 2nd time a Jays starter has 10 K's this year.
  13. Correct. He plays for the Toronto Blue Jays.
  14. Ausmus or Maddon would have him out. We'll see if Gibby does the same, I sure hope so. He's had an extra day's rest ** "out" as in out on the field for the 8th
  15. My god, I can't help but get shivers seeing the crowd like it is.
  16. Nice I'll take a one pitch out thanks very much
  17. You're absolutely right. We are spoiled with stars.
  18. Yes Tabler, I never realized Tulo was a baseball player. So insightful.
  19. Ok, I wasn't excited watching it, but I sure didn't have the same feeling I would with Hutch or someone else out there. With Price you know there's always a change to escape unharmed
  20. That wasn't luck, that was some great pitching.
  21. So nice to have an ace where you don't even feel that nervous with the bases juiced and none out.
