    Polling the players I'm sure they are in favor of both robo-umps and expanded playoffs by a considerable majority. The problem is the cancerous idea of unions (which historically had value but is no longer the case) and the need for the them get something significant in return for any change regardless of their memebers stance on the issue.

    It's funny that they made the move after watching him for a few days struggle to lug his frame around (should have conceded defeat after 3rd game last year). He definitely packed on the lbs during the covid break.

    Retraction of teams in minor leagues or even entire leagues folding is a more likely outcome. Their whole model for income is supported by gate revenue, which is unlikely to return to normalcy for years because of this pandemic.
