  1. Navarro at DH. Hmmm. Gibby supporters will be dwindling by May.
  2. Castro, Sanchez, Osuna, and Pentecost for Hamels and Papelbon. Seriously, if the Jays are going to use Castro/Osuna as relievers at age 20 while burning an option on each of them, then I'd rather use them in trades where actual value will come back.
  3. Let Navarro catch Dickey. Thole isn't even a catcher and he can do it. Navarro doesn't have to frame s***, just keep the ball in front of him.
  4. The Gibby love will dwindle down when he's starting Navarro at DH after 2 weeks, and destroying every arm in the pen as he normally does with overuse. But hey, he knows how to do a lefty/righty platoon! Extend him!
  5. We have a gigantic 9 innings of sample size from the spring that says Osuna is ready to jump 3 levels at age 20 and pitch in the big leagues. One outing is way less than 9 innings. He's still ready, dammit.
  6. Drabek's control couldn't get any worse if he started throwing lefty.
  7. I think some are wanting to keep Hendriks because after Estrada, he's pretty much the next best SP option on the depth chart. That's more telling of how poor the depth is than how good he is, but still. I'd rather Hendriks start than Randy Wolf.
  8. Are they even keeping Hendriks at this point? If Drabek got snatched up, then I can't see how Hendriks will pass.
  9. Agreed. Estrada is going to start games for the Jays this year, barring some unbelievable luck with health. The Jays need as many arms capable of starting as possible. If Osuna and Castro get a few starts here and there, that wouldn't be bad either. If they are going to be up anyway, then try to get as many innings as possible.
  10. The second Tommy John surgery zapped his velocity. I had hope for him prior to the spring but I think he's done now.
  11. Don't judge me.
  12. What if I was fapping to a picture of Dalton Pompey? Would that be considered both?
  13. I don't buy prospect porn. Sorry if you were swindled by shiny new toys rather than realizing a fleecing when it happened.
  14. Mike Wilner on Twitter fighting tooth and nail to defend the Halladay trade. Mid-season form in March. I think the worst part of that whole trade was getting swindled by Ruben Amaro Jr. That alone is cringe worthy. That trade would be like trading Sanchez, Travis, and Pentecost for Clayton Kershaw today.
  15. Norris was called up last September so he'd have to be down more than 2 weeks to add a year of service, right?
  16. Hendriks can start games. The Jays need him.
  17. Blame the Royals. Their stupid bullpen last season has made teams go nuts this season, including ours.
  18. How does Drabek look this Spring (velocity, command)? His Spring numbers are not terrible and he's out of options. I remember reading that his velocity was bad early in the spring so I wrote him off, but maybe there is some hope afterall.
  19. Sanchez really is Henderson Alvarez.
  20. Gibby, rightfully so, will never get another managerial job in the Majors. If AA told Gibby to hold his dick while he talks to the media, Gibbons would do it.
  21. Liam Hendriks is too old and experienced to make this team. Matt Smoral would be a better bullpen piece. /Alex thinking out loud.
  22. He knows his time is ticking so he is going to go down with the prospects he developed or acquired. That's both admirable and stupid at the same time.
  23. Do they really need a month and a half, though? These last two weeks of ST seem highly pointless as the pitchers are pretty much stretched out and the hitters are getting a couple of AB's before sitting for scrubs. Maybe it's just my paranoia of another injury prior to the start of the season, because lord knows they'll play all the regulars and go all out for the Montreal games.
  24. Then why did Spring Training start in late-Feb instead of early-March? It seems like it's been going on for an eternity.
  25. Holy s***, I can't believe there is still a week and a half until Opening Day. Spring Training is way too damn long. Seems like Norris and Sanchez have already started about 10 games each. Enough is enough. Either start ST later or the regular season earlier.
