  1. I'll give AA credit; he went hard after Vladdy, took the penalty, but got the best player he could. I have no idea if Franco is good or going to be good, but if he's by far the best talent available, then I might have liked that strategy used this season as well.
  2. Pearce's s***** April sealed his fate. A new player starting off poorly for Gibbons is like a death sentence, especially when competing for playing time with his golden child. I think what offended me more was Zeke pinch hitting for Pearce a few days ago. The Jays have a manager who thinks Zeke is a better hitter than Pearce. That's a bad sign. Gibby's been less annoying since the new front office took over, but holy s***, he can still be the same idiot he was prior to that.
  3. His value won't get any higher by waiting, and the new CBA makes holding on to players and letting them walk pretty pointless. If the Jays were an 87 win team in 2017, then sure, keep JD and make a run in 2018. If they finish sub-.500, chances are they won't be good enough next year either. It's risky holding on to him.
  4. They won't now. Probably won't in the winter either when JD only has a year left. Let me a dream dammit.
  5. Nah, get a top prospect for someone we will be losing in a year. This s*** won't get any better next year when everyone is a year older. Might as well sell now and not prolong the inevitable.
  6. Cito approves.
  7. Gibby had Zeke pinch hit for Pearce a couple of games ago, but let's Goins bat for himself here. Nice.
  8. This might be the low point of the season. Jays pitching has given up 5 runs in 3 games and are about to lose 2/3 despite facing three s*** starters.
  9. ABout to be 3-9 against the O's, and then next 10 games before the break are against Boston, Yankees, and Astros. This s*** is going to get ugly.
  10. I'd love it, but no one is taking Tulo's contract, unfortunately.
  11. Pearce is going to play 3 times a week because of Zeke. Aka, the Justin Smoak 2015-16 treatment. I miss when Zeke was on the DL. Gibby's man crush on him is too much.
  12. I don't think he will get more than five years but three years is ridiculous. Trollosi being a troll as always.
  13. Since 2013, he has a 121 wRC+ against rhp (.265-.341-.461). He should be playing everyday. Kind of wish he was the everyday 1B with Smoak at DH rather than having Kendrys around, but can't do anything about that.
  14. How about Zeke pinch hitting for Pearce? Unless there was an injury of some sort that caused Pearce to be taken out of the game, that's pretty darn stupid.
  15. After the Jays trade some vets, they can play some young players from AAA like........ Nevermind. Watch some Netflix.
  16. The Jays are single handedly the reason why the Orioles are not buried in the standings.
  17. Honestly as much as I want the Jays to make the playoffs again, nothing in their performance says they are any good. Run differential sucks, positive record in 1 run games so they got a bit of luck on their side, and they still aren't very good. If they are far enough away from the WC race by the end of July to punt the rest of the season, I'd take that over being 3-4 games back behind 6 teams.
  18. Baltimore, Boston, Yankees, and Astros. Holy s***, the Jays are going to be buried by the AS Break.
  19. Parmley is probably gone for Sparkman soon enough.
  20. I'll miss Grilli's OTT reactions every time he ended an inning with a strike out. That's about it, though. Thanks for a few good months in 2016. Been awful since September 2016.
  21. Use Leone now, but use Grilli in a one run game. Nice.
  22. It is easy to forget he's only 22. But yeah, I'm blaming Keri for this.
  23. Grilli has been s*** against everyone. Loup has handled rhb this season. What the f*** are you talking about? Are you seriously f***ing stupid enough to think using Grilli in that spot had a higher percent chance of working out? Holy s*** you're stupid. I know you feel obligated to swing from Gibby's nuts because he was hired by your God (AA) but use some common sense man. Between Loup and Grilli in that spot, Loup was the better option. If you think otherwise, then live with your stupidity.
