  1. If Roark pitches as well as Dickey did from 2013-16, we'd be doing back flips. The Dickster was annoying as hell to watch, but he was an average innings eater who could have stretches when he's really good. My guess is Roark won't come anywhere near that.
  2. Well, Roark will have more value next season as over 162 games you need someone who can stay healthy and give you 5 innings, but he is not someone you want out there with 20+ games left and every game mattering.
  3. I never looked at the stats with Shaw, but the eye test alone shows how slow his bat speed is now. I know we s*** on Professional Panik, but in his last 48 plate appearances, he has a 108 wRC+ and 12.5 BB%. That's 68% of the plate appearances he's had this season. The fact that he'd be an upgrade at 3B is a scary damn thought but it's probably accurate at this point.
  4. Just add Austin Martin to the IF and Kirk at catcher, and I think we have a core right there assuming Hernandez is legit.
  5. Montoyo wiping tears from his eyes after that play.
  6. Shaw was a decent bounce back candidate, but it's looking like 2019 was the beginning of the end, not an outlier. His bat looks slow as hell.
  7. I'll take it. Best case was a K. Worst case was a DP. Thanks Reese.
  8. Just make one out here, Reese. Not two.
  9. Villar-Panik-McGuire-Shaw. Man, need to manufacture something here, at best.
  10. That was the best chance. Now we have the Villar-Panik-McGuire part of the lineup next inning.
  11. Red Sox trying to tank, but Jays won't let them.
  12. I'd almost rather have Fisher up than Shaw here. That better be an easy non tender this winter.
  13. Montoyo would take a bullet for Panik before he pinch hits someone for him.
  14. Please do something positive Villar.
  15. Don't blame him at 81 pitches. This is clearly an organizational thing with pitchers and not exclusive to Buntoyo.
  16. Getting no hit by Perez should count as 2 losses. If Walker can keep this at 1 run, the Jays better score.
  17. Villar-Panik-Jansen-Espinal is a bad bottom of the lineup. I would have played Fisher in the OF and Biggio at 2B. At least Fish may run into one.
  18. My god, the base running on this team is ridiculous.
  19. Vogelbach ends up with the Brewers.
  20. Tigers lose. Jays back up 1.5 games on the final spot. Need to create some distance there. Hopefully the Tigers remember who they are and falter from here.
  21. Yeah I joked that he makes me miss Panik, but he’s usually decent despite the stupid mistakes. Hopefully he settles down. Charles needs to bat him lower in the lineup though.
  22. Need the Brewers to take this one.
