    Win today and we're in decent shape heading into two big series vs. the Twins and Yankees. Of course, some help from Seattle and Chicago would help..

    Look, even good relievers have bad days, just like Lowe. Just came at a bad time.. plus the Royals offense really is good at hitting, even with little power.. how do you think they're 21 games above .500? Just move on and try to beat the Royals tomorrow.. after all, we hit Volquez last time, and his road numbers are not as good as his numbers outside of Kaufman Stadium. Can't wait to face the Twins, who stink outside of Target Field.

    It's just one game! I'd be more worried if it was against a team we're chasing, such as the Yankees, Twins, O's and Angels, who we will face in the next two months.

    Look, the Angels lost CJ Wilson to an injury, and their offense is basically dependent on Trout/Pujols being healthy. That lineup is actually quite weak.. Victorino/DeJesus/Murphy aren't going to save this team, as they're basically replacing the AAAA options they were cycling through.

    Shut up. We play the Twins on Monday. We're far from out of it. Stop being some dang negative! Besides, the Twins have the Yanks, Orioles and us on their August sked.

    But only 3 back of the Angels, who continue to struggle, losing 8 of their last 9 (mostly because their offense stinks outside of Trout and Pujols. And considering the O's and Jays play them this month, they could be in some trouble.)

    Jays miss Severino. He's making his debut Wed. vs. the Red Sox. Eovaldi, Nova, and TBA(possibly Bryan Mitchell again). Big break for the Jays..

    Go Mariners! And BTW, Detroit sucks.. the race is going to get even tighter if the O's win and Twins lose.

    0.3 WAR. They really should've kept DeJesus.. now Sizemore has to play every day, and Mikie Mahtook is on the team, despite the fact he should be in Durham. Of course, the Rays are rapidly sinking out of contention.

    Curse of DeJesus? Souza goes on DL with a fractured left hand. Should've kept DeJesus.. looks like the Rays are heading back to mediocrity.

    Considering Wilson's strong season, it's a tough break for the Angels. And it's still possible both the Jays and O's get the wild cards instead of the Angels. I mean, the Angels have serious offensive depth issues after Pujols, Calhoun and Trout. If any of them got hurt, it would be trouble for the Angels.

    Shut up. You also realize they have to play the Twins too in August, right? And they've got a west coast road trip coming up. Angels are in a tough stretch right now too.. and have to play the O's and Jays this month.

    The likely reason for Valencia's DFA is likely due to the fact that with Belo and Smoak playing 1B and Revere in LF and EE at DH, Valencia has no place to play, and would've seen his playing time disappear. Not to mention he is actually a poor fielder in the OF and 3B. With the roster changes, there's no spot for him to even fill in on the roster now even against LHP, since Revere is playing every day. At least Smoak will see more playing time.. and as long as Bello is kept at 1B/DH and away from the OF as much as possible, he's fine. And hopefully Pompey gets called up soon.

    Valencia was getting by with an inflated BABIP, plus his defensive value sucks. He's below average at 3B and LF defensively. Now that Revere is here, we have no place for him to play.

    Exactly. Just can't keep burning up the pen every night.. plus Lowe was the freshest arm we had. Thank goodness tomorrow is the last time we face them..

    Well, let's hope Minny loses.. as long as we're within a game or tied with them by the Twins series, that's fine. Minnesota is not the Royals in any way, shape or form..

    Likely during the Red Sox series, possibly Monday (which would put him in line for the Jays series). And BTW, it looks like we're missing Tanaka. It's looking like Eovaldi, Nova and Severino for the series.

    Jays win! 1 game deficit now! Too bad we can't pick up on the Yanks, because White Sox pitching sucks..

    Not the only extra innings game in the Jays system.. Buffalo Bisons are in the 12th vs. the Pawtucket Red Sox tied at 1. And BTW, Pawtucket's AAA lineup is pathetic tonight, because of Boston calling up much of the team..

    I expect the Jays and O's to fight for the 2nd wild card.

    Yes! And the LAA/LAD game about to start.. another game to keep an eye on. And in Chicago.. will someone stop pitching to Tex??? 3-3, 2B, 2HR, 6RBIs!
