  1. Best defensive and offensive lineup tonight against a plunging O's team: 1. Jose Bautista ® DH 2. Josh Donaldson ® 3B 3. Edwin Encarnacion ® 1B 4. Russell Martin ® C 5. Troy Tulowitzki ® SS 6. Michael Saunders (L) RF 7. Melvin Upton Jr. ® LF 8. Kevin Pillar ® CF 9. Devon Travis ® 2B P JA Happ And the Os.. still no Adam Jones and really bad OF defense: 1. Steve Pearce ® LF 2. Pedro Alvarez (L) DH 3. Manny Machado ® 3B 4. Mark Trumbo ® RF 5. Chris Davis (L) 1B 6. Jonathan Schoop ® 2B 7. Matt Wieters (S) C 8. J.J. Hardy ® SS 9. Nolan Reimold ® CF
  2. O's fans are pathetic--15,532 in a pennant race. Embarassing.. low attendance is going to cost them in the offseason when Trumbo leaves for bigger money and they're forced to trade players with big raises like Tillman and Britton..
  3. Dang, they took away Upton's HR--it's a 3B and an error.
  4. O's pitching staff continues to sh*t the bed.. Castro just made it 7-4 Yankees.. Detroit is already sensing a wild card spot within its grasp.
  5. Really didn't need that DP right now..
  6. Boston doesn't have that kind of money with $200M+ committed already (including arb raises) for the 2017 roster.
  7. Looking like a big inning.. Jays now only down 5-3. Now how about another HR?
  8. I expect Bo Schultz is already on a bus to Toronto as we speak to replace Loup, as we could use a fresh arm and Loup won't be available for a few days. (Danny Barnes pitched today in AAA).
  9. Who's the wise guy who thought Pat Dean was going 8 scoreless tonight? 3 innings isn't gonna do it.. and the Twins are going to be shipping more arms from Rochester after this game.. and still 1 inning for their bullpen to go in this 15-5 rout. Will we see a position player pitch?
  10. Tell that to the Red Sox and Orioles, who also have lost to this soft-tossing Weaver as well this season.
  11. Remember, the Royals almost got knocked out in the ALDS last season--Houston was a few relief pitchers(and better D from Correa) shy of going to the ALCS instead of KC.
  12. Agreed. Boston just hit the same wall the last two games (and quite a bit recently.. most of their offense has only been Betts, Ortiz and Pedroia.. most of the other regulars are struggling.)
  13. And you're an idiot. Pat Dean hasn' thrown more than 50 pitches in over a month.. and wasn't even supposed to start, but Santiago got hurt.. he's basically a long reliever. And FYI, they're bringing former Blue Jay Andrew Albers as well because Berrios and Duffey suck..
  14. Just bad luck tonight.. and Mike Trout. If that ball doesn't hit Happ's foot, the Angels don't have that big inning. Really should've hit more.. we need Travis back ASAP!
  15. Twins will be lucky if they get 3-4 out of him--he's not stretched out.
  16. At this point, it's not out of the question a 3-way tie happens.. Toronto, Boston and Baltimore are basically deadlocked. All 3 are well into a postseason berth.. leading by 3.0-4.0 games in the standings for the wild card.
  17. No Hector Santiago for the Jays/Twins series--scratched with a thumb injury. Pat Dean will pitch Friday instead.
  18. Tyler Skaggs has been awful the last 3 starts, serving up 15 runs in his last 3 starts, with command being an issue.. he's been hit around a bit recently. I have a feeling the Jays have a good chance--and the bullpen is putrid. No Street or Bedrosian.. Also remember Pillar returns tonight--either Loup or Tepera goes to Buffalo as the corresponding move. And Bautista returns Thursday.. which Goins will be sent down as well (depending on Tulo's health)
  19. Angels are a mess. Escobar's hurt and the lineup after Calhoun/Trout/Pujols is a mess..
  20. This looks BS. I can't see this going anywhere..
  21. Oh shut up. Apparently you didn't watch Kluber's start vs. the Jays in July where he was lit up heavily...
  22. Donaldson a late insertion into the lineup, Tulo still DHing--and the Indians lineup looks rather weak today: 1. Devon Travis ® 2B 2. Josh Donaldson ® 3B 3. Edwin Encarnacion ® 1B 4. Russell Martin ® C 5. Troy Tulowitzki ® DH 6. Michael Saunders (L) RF 7. Melvin Upton Jr. ® CF 8. Ezequiel Carrera (L) LF 9. Ryan Goins (L) SS INDIANS 1. Carlos Santana (S) 1B 2. Jason Kipnis (L) DH 3. Francisco Lindor (S) SS 4. Jose Ramirez (S) 3B 5. Lonnie Chisenhall (L) RF 6. Abraham Almonte (S) LF 7. Tyler Naquin (L) CF 8. Roberto Perez ® C 9. Michael Martinez (S) 2B
  23. Loup's likely only up for today to give the bullpen an extra arm. He or Tepera will be sent down Tuesday when Pillar is activated off the DL, of which the Jays will go back to a 4-man bench. Sanchez will likely return when rosters expand in 11 days. This is the right thing to do.. we need the extra spot.
  24. Jays are in 1st for another night, regardless what Boston does tonight. Baltimore's playoff spot is nearly gone--their meltdown is about to allow the Mariners into the race, and let's not rule out the Yankees..
