  1. Pathetic! Jays really blew this series.. and they're running out of time. Lose to the Mariners and our playoff hopes are in trouble. However, the Mariners have been equally as frustrating as the Jays... should be an interesting series.
  2. Agreed. Alex Meyer, tomorrow's Angels starter, has no business being an MLB starter--he needs to be in the bullpen. Long day ahead for the Angels bullpen tomorrow.. If there's a positive on this loss, the top relievers on the Jays will be rested for tomorrow not having to be used, which will be important if we have a lead.
  3. Astros won, though. 3 way tie in the chase now (Detroit, Seattle and Houston are all 3 GB) The real risk for both the O's and Jays is if Boston wins big vs. the O's this coming week and the Jays struggle vs. the Mariners--but the risk with the O's is more likely. Mariners are back losing again--staring at a potential sweep by the Astros, which looks like (Fister vs. Miranda).
  4. Mariners lose. 2 way tie for the wild card, 3 way tie on teams chasing the O's and Jays at 3 games (barring a huge comeback in this game). Best to forget this one and come back tomorrow afternoon.
  5. Just because the Jays are losing doesn't mean we should be giving up. With Seattle losing, we (and Baltimore) will still have a 3-game lead on Detroit, Seattle and Houston. You want a team giving up, try the Yankees!
  6. TBH, Nolasco isn't that bad--he's been better since the move to the Angels. What has killed him is a lack of run support.. Alex Meyer goes tomorrow--and he has been horrid. That's a very winnable game for the Jays.. anything less than 3/4 will be disappointing.
  7. If we end up playing Cleveland, the Indians may not have much depth in the rotation left by then--Carrasco and Salazar are hurt, Tomlin is garbage.. Kluber can't start every game. But I wonder if some fans want to play Texas so we can get revenge on Rougned Odor..
  8. Which is looking increasingly likely as neither Seattle or Detroit are making any effort to compete..
  9. Holy, are the Angels bad! Twins gave more effort than this.. Dickey's having no trouble with the lineup.
  10. I hate that 2004 Jays logo--what were they thinking??
  11. Donaldson's MRI tested negtive for injury--so he's back in the lineup at DH:
  12. Even with the implosion, neither the Yankees or the Tigers are showing any signs of any effort to catch the Jays--Yanks have already lost, and the Tigers are trailing badly... to the f****ing Twins! Only team that's a serious threat is Seattle...
  13. Gotta beat the Angels: Daniel Wright vs. Happ (adv. Toronto) Jered Weaver vs. Dickey (push) Nolasco vs. Liriano (adv. Toronto) Meyer vs. Stroman (adv. Toronto) Angels pitching staff is AWFUL.. but it won't matter unless the Jays hit. This coming trip is a make or break series..
  14. Haven't heard that name in a while.. and he doesn't deserve it. He was horrible..
  15. Rays bats are really bad today--6Ks thru 3. Now if the Jays could put up another run or two I'd feel better..
  16. Why won't they give Pompey a shot? Pathetic AB by Carrera..
  17. K K K K K so far for Estrada... Rays are just showing no discipline today.
  18. 1-0 already! But boy, are the Jays being aggressive so far...
  19. Nice to see some small ball there. Now we just need Edwing to walk that parrot..
  20. K, K, K for Estrada. Now let's get some runs... we need this game before we head to Anaheim to face the awful ANgels.
  21. Sick of your trolling too.. There's too much talent on this roster to be losing so much.. and another thing, most of the losses recently have been more bad luck and Donaldson's slump. Things will turn.. hopefully this week.
  22. Still likely to make the postseason regardless of their recent slide--they won't keep losig with such a light sked after this, and they have 73.6% odds of making the playoffs (Baltimore and Detroit are in the mix for the 2nd wild card.) Yanks, Mariners and Astros are basically longshots, and the ROyals are done.. But this slide vs. AL East teams hurts.. just can't explain how it's happening.
  23. Shut the hell up. Besides, the Yankees won't last--Dodgers and Red Sox are coming up, and it's very likely they will struggle vs. them. Realistically, Baltimore and Toronto are getting the wild cards. Jays will break out of this slump soon--likely this week against weaker competition. Detroit needs to beat Cleveland before they even can think of making the playoffs (1-11 vs. them) and the Royals (6-10). And their bullpen is trash. As for Baltimore--the Red Sox can pretty much put their playoff hopes on the bubble (7 games left vs. them). Jays are lucky to have Tampa at home, LA and Seattle on the sked--we can make up ground with these 3 series.
  24. Really need to take advantage of the weak spot of the sked--Rays struggle on the road (and have lost Duffy and LoMo to injuries) and the Angels are just scrambling for starters (Wright/Weaver/Nolasco/Meyer are scheduled for the series, 2 of them belong in AAA, and Nolasco has sucked all year between Minnesota/LA). Otherwise, this Jays team isn't making the postseason.
