If David Price undergoes TJS, not only do the Jays chances improve, but the AL East becomes wide open--with even the Yankees, O's and Rays having a chance. Boston's pitching depth is very lacking, with Pomeranz having elbow concerns, Wright still uncertain after Farrell's stupidity to pinch-run and a regression candidate, and E-Rod's knee.. and AAA is basically barren of quality options, as Henry Owens still can't throw strikes, Elias and Kendrick are AAAA types, and Johnson's still working his way back from anxiety issues.
And don't expect a trade--Boston does not have many assets after the Sale and Thornburg deals.
