    Brand new turf for Tampa this year--Toronto getting a dirt infield forced the Rays hand, plus injuries due to the old turf probably got MLB involved--demanding the Rays replace the turf. No more sunburst in CF..

    Holy, are the Padres going to be bad this year--they're carrying an A-ball pitcher (Miguel Diaz), an A-ball catcher (Luis Torrens) and a rookie-ball infielder (Allen Cordoba)..     Gurriel, Alford, Urena and Harold Ramirez have all been sent to minor league camp. They're all New Hampshire or Buffalo bound. Gurriel and Ramirez we have a shot of seeing this season, Urena and Alford not so much..

    Latos is Buffalo bound.. he has not shown any signs of being someone the Jays can even consider an option for the rotation or bullpen.
