FYI, when I said the 29 other MLB owners are eventually going to cut off Tampa Bay, here's a quote from this article: http://tbo.com/news/business/rays-finish-season-last-in-mlb-attendance-again-20131013/ "Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig has been getting more aggressive on the Rays’ attendance and stadium problems in recent years, with maybe his strongest statement yet coming this August. He labeled the Rays’ attendance “bad” in October 2011 and “inexcusable” in July 2012, according to past interviews. Finally, at an owners’ meeting in August, he said the rest of the league was tiring of having to subsidize the Rays through league revenue-sharing dollars, in which wealthy teams contribute money to smaller-market teams. He said he was considering assigning someone from Major League Baseball to intervene in the stadium standoff and “find out exactly what the hell is going on.”

They keep getting numbers like this and guys like Loney, Escobar, Price and Zobrist will be gone by the trade deadline. Wonder if Selig is already thinking about Montreal..

Ubaldo Jimenez was mediocre in his 1st start with the Orioles, giving up HRs to Papi and Napoli. And Ryan Webb just gave up 2 more RBIS to Napoli.. 6-2 Boston.

I meant the 29 other owners will cut Tampa off and push for relocation if no new stadium is announced or planned soon. They're probably not happy about the low crowds at the Trop, especially when they could better crowds in other markets. Let's not forget what happened to the Atlanta Thrashers...

Once again, they're only profitable due to revenue sharing which I expect will eventually be cut off from Tampa if no progress on a new stadium is made by the next CBA.

With this low attendance, you'd swear we were at an Expos game with bad ownership.. except Tampa has decent ownership and no fans due to: -No money(fans) -Bad stadium and bad location -No hope for a new stadium -Not Yankees or Red Sox playing..
