  1. 8-7 Pirates now on a Martin single.
  2. Rain is hitting MLB hard tonight, as the Rays/O's joins the postponement parade. Red Sox/White Sox and Jays/Twins are still scheduled to go ahead, as no rain is in the forecast in either Chicago or Minny.
  3. As it stands, the game is set to go ahead. Rasmus likely being held out due to the cold weather.
  4. Don't worry. Walden will most likely clear waivers, as he had awful numbers in AA last year, and isn't much better in AAA so far.
  5. Not a surprise. Walden was awful in AA last year and isn't impressing in Buffalo either. Basically, he was only up here as an emergency arm like Dave Bush was this time last year (eww...)
  6. Cincy/Pittsburgh game has been suspended. The game will resume at 7-7 tomorrow at 5:30pm in the 7th inning. Since they got past the 5th inning, they have to finish the game, especially considering it's tied. So all 10 HRs in that game will count.. will we see more tomorrow?
  7. Just saw the video from MLB.com's Gameday on the Mariners/Rangers game.. JPA really messed up! Not only did he not tag at the plate, he bobbled the ball! Why is he even still in the majors?
  8. For the O's... where was this offense vs. the Jays? Are the Rays woes really that bad?
  9. And Archer has been awful tonight. 6 ER in 2.1 IP, with 9 H.
  10. Chris Archer is unraveling.. already 4 runs given up in 1.2IP, the last thing the Rays need with a worn out bullpen due to yesterday's nightmare.
  11. Check out tonight's Rays lineup: Zobrist 2B Jennings CF Forsythe DH Longoria 3B Myers RF Loney 1B Guyer LF Escobar SS Hanigan C Rays are really struggling to score..
  12. Now we know why AA refused to even give Josh Johnson a QO. With McGowan and Hutchison off to good starts, that non-deal is looking good. BTW, San Diego hasn't been a good team, being 5-7 and a -9 run differential, only getting a boost from Cashner's strong start.
  13. Still surprising Bautista hasn't gotten the Barry Bonds treatment yet (frequently being walked). Also, despite the Jays offensive struggles, Bautista's 3rd in runs scored (11), behind Dozier and Eaton. Imagine what runs he'd have if the offense started waking up, like yesterday's game.
  14. Basically because they have little choice, as neither Roberts or Jeter are available. Either they'd have to put Soriano at 2B, losing the DH, or put a pitcher in there to play a position.
  15. Never mind, Solarte is staying in the game.
  16. And now Solarte is hurt! At the rate things are going, the Yanks are going to have to call up most of their SWB infield by Tuesday when they play the Cubs.
  17. Geez, what's going on with the AL East this year? Rays are losing starters almost as much as the Jays did last year (Hellickson, Moore, Cobb), Yankees have two good young starters in Pineda and Tanaka who should be the #1 and #2 on the team, as Kuroda isn't as good, and Sabathia/Nova are garbage. But they need someone other than Solarte to step up, as he's going to cool off sooner or later. And the Orioles don't have decent pitching outside of Tillman. And the Red Sox.. they seem to be having quite a post World Series hangover with all the injuries. Losing Pedroia could be devastating for a team already struggling offensively and seeing significant regression from Doubront and Buchholz.
  18. Rasmus is likely out because the Jays are up by 7 and there's no need to risk injury if the team's up by so much, plus they probably want to get Sierra some ABs.
  19. Anyone remember Yoslan Herrera from the Pirates? He has re-emerged with the Angels, who are desperate for arms after that extra-inning game last night. Pretty sad..
  20. Ubaldo's losing the strikezone again. C'mon Melk man, let's put this game away!
  21. We'll see her on Misplays of the Week on Connected. Nice way to hurt your own team.. and now it's 2-1 Jays after Navarro has a productive out.
  22. The Rays really can't catch a break with injuries... and yet our Jays are still a game back of them because we haven't hit our stride offensively so far this season.
  23. Wasn't this O's team the best defensive team ever last year? 2 errors this inning, plus one that should have been. Hey, we'll take the cheap runs.
