  1. That would definitely get a bingo every game considering our lousy analysts and the frequent technical difficulties. As for "Shows a commercial for a team other than the Jays", I think I saw a Mariners commercial last night. I wonder what the bingo card would look like for the Chicago White Sox.. you could fill an entire card with all the dumb things Hawk Harrelson says..
  2. Real mystery here why Jorge Polanco got a call-up. My guess is they have no better options.
  3. Yanks vs. Red Sox series this weekend: Workman vs. Nuno (adv. Red Sox) Lester vs. Tanaka (tough call) Lackey vs. Whitley (adv. Red Sox) Good chance for the Jays to pick up ground on the Yankees this weekend. Most of the pitching matchups favour Boston.. let's just hope they can score!
  4. Agreed. They've had every chance to win in the O's series.. but the White Sox bullpen has managed to find ways to blow games frequently. Good news is that the pen is likely a little taxed after last night's 12 inning affair, and a terrible Scott Caroll going tonight.
  5. Clay Buchholz is still garbage.
  6. Not much we could do. No way we were putting Brad Glenn in in that situation, especially considering his limited 1B experience. Hope Bautista returns soon.
  7. Well... tough loss. Now we have to wait.. and wait on the O's/Whtie Sox because of a big storm there. Next up for the O's is the strong Rays pitching.. just hope the Rays score!
  8. More good news for the Jays.. White Sox and O's could be waiting a while to resume play, as the game is in a rain delay.
  9. Extras in Baltimore. Javy Guerra manages to get the O's 1-2-3 in the 9th.
  10. There's your 6 spot! Lind with a huge HR! 6-0 Jays. Yanks bullpen is going to get wasted tonight.. or Whitley's going to give up about 9-10 runs first.
  11. The Melk-man does it again! 3-0 Jays. Whitley looks like garbage tonight.. guess it's long overdue regression, especially considering he's NOT a starting pitcher, as he was a relief prospect in the system.
  12. Whitley's not fooling anyone. Looks like he's running out of gas because he's a converted reliever who's getting up towards his career high in innings. Sooner or later he's going to face the same fate as Brian Tallet and Esmil Rogers here in Toronto. New York media is already saying the Yanks need to acquire another pitcher.. unfortunately, the Yanks don't have the assets to bring in a big name.
  13. Zaun's back on the pre-game show. Thank god Kevin Barker is gone.
  14. Hopefully the MRI will say that he'll only miss a day or two, or be limited to DH duties for a few days (where the Jays will likely call up Gose or Pillar to fill in in RF until Bautista is ready)
  15. Imagine the Angels record had they had CJ Cron playing DH every day instead of Raul Ibanez.. they'd be neck and neck with the A's. Cutting Ibanez was a move long overdue. CJ Cron's emergence was the thing the Angels needed to get them into contention. They still need another pitcher and bullpen help, though.
  16. Actually, I'm betting it is an injury. Cashner's not a free agent until 2017. Didn't realize this until I saw his contract info on Cot's.
  17. I'll bet they've already agreed to trade Andrew Cashner somewhere. Wherever it is I don't know.
  18. Possible. San Diego is blowing up the franchise with the team heading for a last place finish, and they're trying to get young players. Also, I've heard they're calling up Odrisamer Despaigne. As you know, Josh Byrnes was just fired, and likely ownership has ordered a fire sale. Makes you wonder if Tampa will pull the same thing by firing Andrew Friedman and Joe Maddon in the next few weeks as well, with that team in the same dire straits as the Padres and little hope for the future. Considering they're expected to deal many veterans and David Price at the deadline, it can't be ruled out.
  19. Jays lose position players (although Bautista might be back tomorrow, as it was a precautionary departure from the game), Cardinals lose not one, but TWO pitchers in one day: Jenifer LangoschVerified account ‏@LangoschMLB Wacha and Garcia both going on DL with shoulder injuries. #stlcards Wow. Cincy fans are probably cheering this. But this is a large loss for the Cardinals.
  20. Yanks also lost Tex to a foot injury after he fouled a ball off his foot. Without him, the Yanks are even less powerless..
  21. How is this Yankees team even above .500? Their offense is really anemic. And Solarte's magic has disappeared.. now down to a .264 AVG. Outside of Gardner and Ellsbury, their line has been terrible. Oh, and it's now 6-0 after a JJ Hardy double. This is going to be a demoralizing loss for the Yanks.. but will it affect them in the week ahead, where they have us and the Red Sox?
  22. O's have a 3-0 lead on Tanaka and the Yanks. So it looks like we'll hold at 1.5 up.
  23. Crap! Bautista leaving the game. Reyes coming in to play SS, Kawasaki to 2B, Tolleson to RF..
  24. Wow, how can you botch a play like that at 1B?? Please no Bautista injury...
  25. Zaun will likely be back by the Yankees series. He's on vacation I believe.
