  1. Skaggs to DL. How are the Angels even in contention with such a thin pitching staff? They don't have a #4 or #5 starter right now, and Santiago is garbage.
  2. HIGH and DEEP and Edwing's given us the lead! Not surprised. Nolasco is horrible.
  3. Finally! But 30 pitches.. Let's get some offense tonight!
  4. Looks like it's gonna be an 8-7 game. Nolasco is garbage, and Dickey's struggling.
  5. That is a lot of money to eat. $19.7M/2 years, plus two options. This is Russ Ortiz all over again.
  6. No Royals/Yankees game tonight. Rain has postponed the game. Off to Seattle they go.. won't affect their rotation, as they'll just skip the struggling Vidal Nuno.
  7. Anyone watching the Red Sox/Tigers game? They were talking to AJ Pierzynski.. and for some reason I feel he doesn't know anything about the issues with the Red Sox. If they're a hard-working team.. why are they 27-33? And for some reason the Fox baseball broadcaster are SO biased... they were talking about Brian McCann in the broadcast.. thinking he'll bounce back during the summer. I don't believe that.. he's hitting .231 and his OBP is under .300... and is looking like a major bust for the Yankees.
  8. SNL Celebrity Jeopardy ep. where Sean Connery tries to pick "Therapists" and pronounces it "The Rapists".. and Josh Lueke was convicted of rape previously. Oh and the Rays are losing.
  9. Sean Connery can't make fun of the Rays anymore.. Josh Leuke has been DFAd, and Kirby Yates has been recalled.
  10. Good inning by Stroman. Wish the defense had better luck this past inning. Now let's crush Lynn.
  11. Well, Lynn is a good pitcher. But still, he won't last long if he keeps pitching like this, with him already at 28 pitches in 1 inning.
  12. Say goodbye to Dylan Bundy or Kevin Gausman (or both) when the O's desperately trade for a starter trying to make the playoffs..
  13. Well, they've already messed up d'Arnaud, who is in danger of losing the catcher job to Plawecki in 2015.. suddenly, the Dickey trade looks better and better for Toronto.. but not by much.
  14. 10,442 at the Trop watching the Rays fall deeper and deeper down in the AL. How much longer before they hit the 7,000-8,000 the Expos had that got the team moved to Washington?
  15. Rays lose again. Now they're 14 back of the Blue Jays, and 9 back of the O's, and 9.5 back of the Angels. Like Jim Cramer's soundboard, he'd be pressing the button SELL SELL SELL! No way the Rays come back from such a monstrous deficit.
  16. Don't worry, the A's will clobber the O's for us this weekend when they play them.
  17. 10,897 in Tampa tonight. The drop to Expos-level attendance is already starting in Tampa as the team sinks further into the abyss.
  18. And the ESPN guys were saying the only .600+ teams were the Bay Area teams.. then the Blue Jays won. So the elite teams now are Oakland, San Francisco, and the Blue Jays. And the team expected to win 90 games, Tampa Bay, is now 23-37 and sooner or later, much of their coaching staff and players will likely take the fall, which is unfortunate for Joe Maddon.. but he has nothing to work with! He should demand out of Tampa and go to a team with an actual future..
  19. Quoted from a friend of mine from Detroit: "Phil Coke...the baseball pitcher who will make you want to drink Pepsi...or Pepto...or any hard liquor...or.." Wonder what he'd say about the rest of the Tigers pen. How is this Tigers team even in contention??
  20. Rays now down 5-3 after Longoria failed to make a catch, then Donavan Solano hit a 3-run shot.
  21. Blame it on that JP Riccardi. Thank goodness he's no longer in this organization.
  22. I remember seeing John Hattig back in 2006. BTW, what about Davis Romero? We never saw him again after that same season Ty Taubenheim made his debut. Worse, Ty's 2nd start was my very first Jays game (no joke).
  23. Quietly, Seattle has surged back into the race after beating Atlanta this afternoon thanks to Iwakuma. They've won 5 in a row, and are now tied with the sinking Angels, who are 3-7 in their last 10. As a result, both the Yankees and Orioles are out of the wild card race, pending tonight's games.
  24. And the Blue Jays are looking like a win now after Nathan imploded (again). Worse for Tampa, Henderson Alvarez threw a CG shutout on just 88 pitches.
