    True. At least Gibby does a reasonable job managing the bullpen. Girardi has already used Betances for 35 games and 48 IP, on pace for 100 IP, the same pace that got Scott Proctor's elbow blown out. It makes me wonder if the Yankees end up trading Betances, as he is the only commodity on the Yanks that has any decent value, as their farm is lousy, with valuation drops in their OF prospects, Gary Sanchez and Manny Banuelos. Luis Severino has promise.. but he's just as untouchable.

    O's win, Jays are 1.0 games up. Rays now lead 3-2.. and the Yanks bullpen looks almost in worse shape than Toronto right now due to overuse.

    Betances is struggling tonight.. of course, while he's had a great season so far, Joe Girardi is risking Scott Proctoring him(running him out for 100+ IP and wrecking his elbow.. ask Joe Torre) if he keeps using him at this pace.

    Kay and co. are talking about pitch counts.. I'd hate to imagine what it was like with pitchers back before pitch counts were actually counted before teams started babying their pitchers due to the increasing costs.

    Well, looks like the Jays will have a 1 game lead. O's are going to win vs. the Rangers. Outside of Darvish, the Rangers rotation is ravaged by injuries.. no wonder they aren't contending.

    O's crushing the Rangers 7-1 as Joe Saunders is basically a washed-up pitcher who should be on the Somerset Patriots and not in the MLB..

    Peavy just gave up a 2-run HR to Nate Schierholtz. Boston still can't score, even with Mookie Betts.

    You'll be happy to know I'm watching the YES broadcast. BTW, they said something how the Rays have been hit hard by bad decisions (Bell, Balfour, etc.)

    Joe Saunders is far removed from his time in Baltimore, and it shows. 3-0 Orioles (dang..) on HRs by Pearce and Jones.

    Royals signed Raul Ibanez, who washed out with the Angels.. but KC is desperate for offense, plus Ibanez is a former Royal from 2001-03.

    As someone who works in records management and administration, someone did not do a good job keeping all this trade information confidential if Deadspin was able to obtain this. What a terrible organization Houston is..

    This is going to hurt the Astros a lot, as information like this is going to make teams not want to trade with Houston or give them anything decent. It's embarrassing for an organization to let confidential information fall onto a site such as Deadspin. Someone is going to get fired for this in the Astros organization.

    And here comes Betances in the 6th.. at the rate Girardi uses him, he'll be needing Tommy John surgery by September when he blows his elbow out from overuse..
