  1. We're out-Raying the Rays here tonight! Another hit makes it 8-5 for the Jays! And here come the boos for Grant Ball Four...
  2. Huge single by Tolly! 7-5 Jays. We've got this if Janssen does his job in the 9th. The bullpen has been a major problem for the Rays this season.. is it a wonder why they're deep under .500?
  3. Uhh.. wild card? We're only 1.5 back of an over-performing Mariners team.. and the rest of the competition isn't terribly inspiring, unless you expect the Indians to fix their pitching staff, the Royals to start hitting, or the Yankees magically making their starters healthy. And I don't see the Mariners holding up.. LA and Oakland are far superior and deeper teams, as shown by our recent losses there.
  4. BTW, Oakland leads 2-0 on Seattle(who have King Felix on tonight vs. the Shark)
  5. At this point, the Yankees are so awful right now the O's could easily take 2/3 or sweep the Yankees. Things are falling apart in New York.. even the Mets are better than the Yanks, despite the Mets poor record.
  6. Reyes with a huge double! Now it's up to Tolleson to get the Jays ahead for Janssen...
  7. If they're going to stay strong, we should focus on catching a sinking Mariners team, who we trail by only 1.5 games. We can easily catch them.. they've got Oakland and LA next!
  8. Well, as I just mentioned, Warren just served up a Machado double, then a walk-off single by Nick Hundley, dropping the Yankees to .500. If you think the Jays are having it bad, the Yankees are worse! No reliable starters other than Kuroda due to long-term injuries, and a gassed bullpen.
  9. Orioles just walked off vs. the Yankees on a Nick Hundley single. Damn.. Let's hope the A's beat the Mariners.
  10. Another walk by Johnson.. he's walked more this game than the god-awful JPA did last year..
  11. Some slightly good news on Reimold. Left calf strain, day-to-day. Could've been a lot worse..
  12. Buehrle really struggling tonight, yet the Rays can't cash in with RISP.. don't they wish they had Myers, Sands, DeJesus healthy..
  13. Nope, that's Raptors play-by-play guy Matt Devlin. Buck's either on vacation or at the All-Star game in Minnesota.
  14. 5-1 now! Reyes is on a roll. And can we get another OF if Reimold misses time?
  15. He's been like this much of the time in Baltimore. Let's hope it's not serious.
  16. Archer's gonna be out by 5 at the rate he's pitching..
  17. Dan Johnson walks again. And we stashed this guy in AAA this long?
  18. Not uncommon for Archer. Reminds me of a prime Rich Harden, where he can strike tons of batters out, but gets knocked out after 5-6 innings.
  19. Nice inning. Now let's hope Buehrle keeps pitching well and gets enough for a W. You'll also be happy to know the Yankees lead 2-0 on Baltimore (c'mon Kuroda!)
  20. Ubaldo was pitching better recently before the injury. He just isn't getting any run support.
  21. They have no options worth calling up in the minors, as most of them (Greene, Whitley) are already in the majors, Banuelos is still stuck in AA rehabbing, and Bryan Mitchell is garbage.
