  1. If this were 2012 David Price, I'd agree.. and BTW, this will likely be the last time we see David Price in a Rays uniform and possibly in the AL, as he is expected to be traded by the end of the month.
  2. Giants fans feel the same way(9-21).
  3. We're not comparable to the Rangers. Our pitching is still well ahead of Texas, who have Yu Darvish and little else. And our offense, even with injuries, is still better than Texas. When your rotation after Darvish is a broken down Colby Lewis, an untested Nick Tepesch and Nick Martinez(who's on the DL), Miles Mikolas, Scott Baker, a washed up Phil Irwin, and tomorrow, busted Mariners prospect Ryan Feierabend, this team makes last year's Jays team look good...
  4. Another loss for the Texas Rangers.. 3-21 since they were last at .500 in mid June, and now 20.5 back. Have you seen a collapse worse than this? Even this makes the Jays look good..
  5. Can any team get Kiermaier out?? That guy has been partially responsible for Tampa's turnaround. Too bad it may be too little too late, unless the AL East continues to be awful. I still think it's between the O's and Jays for the East.
  6. We can take a mulligan on this game, as the Yankees are headed for a win vs. the O's. So status quo..
  7. Frigging Kiermaier... (although he's done the same vs. other teams as well, not just the Jays.)
  8. Likely at the All-Star game in Minnesota.
  9. Boy, S-Rod threw that one away... and with Dan Johnson's infield single, we have a shot to put some runs on the board..
  10. What's with all the first place collapses lately? First the Giants, then the Jays, now the Brewers are about to hand 1st place to the Cardinals.. down 5-0 early on.
  11. 50 players now for the Rangers have played for the team this year: Anthony Andro ‏@aandro Rangers purchasing contract of LHP Ryan Feierabend. Corresponding move TBA I remember him from the Mariners.. just a sad story for the Rangers having to dig really deep into the minors for starters.
  12. Great for him, but also a sign of how injuries are ravaging the All-Star rosters. Jordan Zimmermann was supposed to be in that spot, but he got injured last night. The injury list for the All-Star game is growing: Tanaka, V-Mart, Yadier Molina, among others..
  13. John Lott ‏@LottOnBaseball 1m Nolan Reimold to 15-day DL with left calf strain. Anthony Gose returns. #BlueJays Boy is Reimold fragile..
  14. No chance. Odorizzi usually only averages just over 5 innings a start, and the Rays bullpen is a little taxed after last night's game, with Ramos and Balfour likely to be unavailable, and McGee not expected back until Sunday.
  15. And you can imagine the A's will be tearing the Mariners a new one for the rest of the series now that they're past King Felix.
  16. Exactly. And after the break, we mostly face the dregs of the AL, and a Tanaka-less Yankees team that is headed towards last place.. with no Sabathia, Tanaka, Nova or Pineda, along with no Beltran or consistent hitting, this Yankees team will be well out of it by the end of July.
  17. If you don't like it, go watch another team or another sport. You realize that the AL East, along with most of the AL not named Detroit, Oakland or L.A. is average to mediocre at best.
  18. We are definitely not out of it. Seattle is most likely to sink after the break, as they lack the offensive depth besides Seager and Cano, plus have workload concerns on their pitchers not named Felix Hernandez or Hisashi Iwakuma. And we're about the only real competition.. Kansas City and Cleveland don't exactly look like decent competition, and the Yankees are pretty much cooked without Tanaka. Meanwhile, Baltimore faces a tough schedule after the break, and we still have a decent shot of catching them.
  19. Confirmed on Price: WDAE 620 AM/95.3 FM ‏@620wdae 13m Joe Maddon says David Price was sent home sick. He will won't start tomorrow. Jake Odorizzi starts tomorrow. Price might go Sunday #Rays
  20. To this date, Texas has used 49 players so far. 27 pitchers, 22 position players. And we get this train wreck of a team next weekend at the Rogers Centre, while the O's get elite competition in Oakalnd.
  21. He looks like he's lost steps in the OF.. especially from playing all the 2B/SS so much..
  22. What about the time Eckstein and Johnny Mac went down in the same game, forcing them to use Marco Scutaro at SS?
