  1. Texas pitching is awful outside of Darvish. Rays about to win.. but won't gain ground unless Baltimore loses.
  2. Escobar just got ejected in the Rays game.
  3. Rays now lead 2-1 over the Brew Crew.
  4. White Sox, even though they're not contending, are gutting the Tigers pen, as Soria imploded.. 9-2 White Sox.
  5. Well, LA has done a good job working the O's pen.. already on their 4th pitcher of the night.
  6. 6-6 game now in Baltimore. Matusz really stinks this season..
  7. MIL-TB tied at 1. Probably won't stop David Price from getting traded.. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/24642133/courage-test-rays-source-says-talking-and-willing-to-trade-price With him due $20M next year via arbitration and the Rays limited finances, he may get traded regardless of where the team is in the race.
  8. McCarthy must be crashing back to earth.. back to being the mediocre pitcher the D-Backs wanted to move due to his 5.01 ERA and high hit and HR rates. And when is someone other than Brett Gardner and Derek Jeter going to hit?
  9. Now 6-5 O's after Hamilton hit a HR.
  10. O's/Nats having a lot of TV issues: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/major-league-baseball-embroiled-explosive-721927?utm_source=twitter
  11. Neftali Feliz shuts down the Yankees, Jays are 2 up(Yankees) and 2.5 back(O's)
  12. Forget it. David Price will be sold off to the highest bidder unless the Blue Jays fade before the week's end, as the Rays are 4.5 back and are basically needing a miracle. Otherwise, Price will be pitching elsewhere, such as the Dodgers, Cardinals, etc. and Zobrist will be with the Giants (who are keeping an eye on him BTW.)
  13. And against the Astros nonetheless. Embarrassing loss for a top team like the A's.
  14. Jack Z frustrating GMs with his inability to make up his mind: http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/trader-jack-as-seattle-s-gm-struggles-to-complete-deals-some-rival-executives-wonder-072814 He's trying to get himself fired..
  15. Probables vs. the Red Sox: Buchholz (4.29 SIERA) vs. Dickey (4.12 SIERA) De La Rosa (3.91 SIERA) vs. Stroman (3.30 SIERA) TBA vs. Buehrle (depending if Lester is still with the Red Sox by Wednesday) This is a very winnable series.. and the third game is uncertain due to Lester's questionable status due to the possibility of him being traded. After this, the (AAA)stros are on the docket..
  16. LOL Uggla... and some people wanted us to sign Uggla. That was just ugly.. BTW, did you see all that stuff in AT&T Park there with the restaurant behind the scoreboard and the bowling alley? No wonder AT&T Park ranks as one of the best in the game..
  17. And that is the reason I widely expected the Mariners to slide. And I doubt most hitters want to go to Seattle. No relief in sight either for the M's, with Cleveland, O's again for 3, then Atlanta and a White Sox team that is just confusing.. the White Sox should sell, but they're only 5 back..
  18. With the Jays upcoming sked, we have a good shot of closing in on Baltimore, and/or furthering our lead in the 2nd wild card. Hopefully we pick up a game or two before the O's series next week.
  19. At the rate the M's are sliding, it's going to be a battle between us and the Yankees for that 2nd wild card. Still, the division is in sight, as we're only 3 back, with a ridiculously easy schedule against a sliding Red Sox team and the MLB-worst run organization, the Houston Astros.
  20. Hope Sportsnet has some ads they can put on the green screen on the backstop.. since it's on ESPN, all we'll see on there is that green blotch on the backstop, and it's an eyesore. Nice to see we're on a US network for once.
  21. Nice catch! Jays finally win a series at Yankee Stadium for the first time since 2012! We now lead the 2nd wild card all by ourselves, and now we just need the Orioles to fade a little.
  22. Yanks fans are likely saying cross words at Girardi right now for not taking Betances out earlier and now Robertson giving up the go-ahead run.
  23. At the rate Girardi runs him out, he'll be needing Tommy John surgery before the year's end.
  24. Nice piece of work by Kawasaki. Girardi deserves the blame for this.. he should've had Warren in for the 8th instead of leaving Betances in for another inning..
  25. LOL Betances and McCann.. why the heck hasn't Girardi called up a natural 1B from the minors? Oh wait.. they don't have one.
