  1. Stop it. The team's still in contention, as is most of the AL, and we're not in dire financial straits like the Rays. No need to be selling.
  2. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/07/cafardos-latest-revere-kennedy-hamels-blue-jays.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook Indications are Dickey will be bought out after this season for $1M. With Stroman returning and many young pitchers on the farm and on the MLB roster, no surprise. Still need a veteran for 2016, though..
  3. Twins win. All of the AL East outside of the Yankees are now out of the wild card, as the Angels are poised to win as well.
  4. So is the rest of the AL.. there's only a 6 game gap between last place and the wild card! And it's just one week.. you want a team going off the rails, try the Rays!
  5. Rodon actually. And yes, it is Gonzalez for the O's. I sense a sweep.. Miguel Gonzalez has struggled.
  6. Uh.. they still have one more game vs. the O's. And they have to face Jimenez tomorrow, the O's best starter. And those Cards games.. you realize that the Cards lineup was heavily short-handed, right, and looks awful against AL teams.
  7. White Sox are 35-42, plus we play the White Sox next, and they aren't a good team, with little offense outisde of Jose Abreu. And outside of Sale, what are they going to get out of everyone else? And their bullpen sucks, just like Detroit.. without the benefit of a decent offense or strong starting pitching 1-3 or 1-4. While I understand the Jays are struggling, this negativity is getting out of hand. Chicago can't hit.. and as much as KC is a top team, they have a losing record against AL East teams, plus their offense is below average. I mean, that Royals team gives starts to Guthrie, Blanton and Chris Young.. they can't expect their bullpen to keep bailing them out. (FYI, Duffy, Volquez and Young are starting the Jays series tentatively.) Luckily for the Royals, they have a cakewalk of a series coming up with the offensively challenged Rays.. Rays could be below the Jays by the All-Star Break (heck, possibly behind Boston too.) Look, your criticism of the Jays is fair, and I agree we have pitching issues and need a natural LF, and really need to add a starter.. but we've hit a lot of top starters and a hot Red Sox team (who won again today, BTW.) Sooner or later we'll get a break..
  8. Only two of those are true (Carrera, Dickey). At lest Collabello, Reyes and Cecil produce..
  9. Rays lose yet again on a Ramon Flores walkoff hit.
  10. Ramon Flores walks off on the Rays.
  11. Could be a high scoring game on both sides.. Verlander has been terrible in his first few starts.
  12. Where is our offense? The last week or so has been difficult for us...
  13. Betances just blew a save vs. Tampa on a game-tying HR by Steven Souza Jr.
  14. Especially in the AL.. it is very tight in the race. Even teams like the Red Sox aren't out of it.
  15. At least it's still reachable. After all, the Tigers bullpen is a serious Achilles heel..
  16. Ewww... we need younger pitching, not old ones like Colon.
  17. All caused because Kevin Cash doesn't read "Pitching and Bullpen Management for Dummies.." He makes Gibbons look good. And now the Rays probably will have to make another trip to Durham to get more arms after this extra-inning affair, as the Rays pen is absolutely taxed, multi-times worse than the Jays. Rays will be below the Red Sox soon at their current pace in the standings.
  18. Scratch the Rays win out. McCann just walked off on them because Kevin Cash can't manage a bullpen or get length out of starters. Still only 1 back of a wild card regardless for the Jays.
  19. F**ing Kevin Cash and his terrible bullpen management.. Yanks have the tying run at 2nd with 1 out!
  20. Tampa Bay just took the lead, Twins lost, O's lost. So the Jays STILL don't lose ground, and are still only 1 game out of first place and the wild card. Got to take the next two games..
  21. Astros now lead 11-8 because Noe(No-eh) Ramirez can't seem to get MLB hitters out. So much for the Sox winning...
  22. O's lose.. their bats were ice cold tonight vs. the White Sox. So if Tampa loses, we're still only 1 back (but 2 back of the Yanks)
  23. Hopefully we get good pitching tomorrow with our offense... it's been a rough week. Of course, facing that hot Red Sox team hasn't helped.. Not looking good for Cabrera:
  24. Damn, Boston is red hot right now.. they've tied the Astros game again at 7. It's not just Tampa and Toronto having trouble with them.. that Betts/Holt/Bogaerts trio continues to give teams headaches.
