Mo Pete was one of my favourite Raps growing up, looks like he'll be a good commentator one day, seemed very comfortable in the booth.
  2. It's indisputable that more viable ML depth should have been assembled; but under the circumstances I'd rather have Norris, Sanchez, Travis, Pompey and Castro get PA and IP instead of scrubs with replacement level ceilings. Winning teams go out and sign the Aokis and Lowries to ensure 20% of the opening day roster isn't comprised of prospects.
  3. Well f***. GD do you remember how you changed your screen name?

Any volunteers in the GTA to kill Casey?
  5. Brah there's nothing indeterminable about character, buddy said he's a POS so he's obviously a 20/80 on makeup scale. Trade his ass for a sparkplug, class act or gym rat with a Goins' bat and a Viciedo glove.
  6. I'm going to wear mine as a designated eating uniform. Get it nice and stained, wear it to steakhouses and such.
  7. Never felt any shame for keeping the LunchBox handle even after Snider fell short of expectations. However, after the events of the last few weeks and the new Oriole presence on the board, if Snider becomes an O I'll probably do the fashionable thing and shorten my screen-name to LB, like my irresolute predecessors BTS, GD and RKF. Under no circumstances will I change the Snider-Lawrie pedo-stache avatar though.
  8. All players entering the draft should be taking standardized intelligence and personality tests. There will still be prospects that bust for reasons other than physical ability, but at least scouts won't have reason to speculate about players' "makeup, intangibles" ect. which they are in no way qualified to do.
  9. Selig's legacy was PEDs, Manfred's will be eliminating the use of SPUNK: Sports Performance Utility Nutrient Kick. He'll later be disgraced when it becomes public knowledge that his favourite flavour was the black kind.
  10. Well, that happened lol New forum poster award: resident retard, first unanimous vote to date?
  11. Conversely, fans of other teams could come here to find a certain member racking up 1000 posts about how Ryan Goins defence is so elite that he's a two-win player...
  12. To the Offseason Roster thread to debate the extent of RJF's retardation. Spanky's first name? We might have to tag-team that effort
  13. I think you may have missed the point. There was obvious exaggeration on the part of Bill, specifically the use of the term "soap opera" when addressing the game's most respected reporter. Rosenthal replied in kind, exaggerating his own distaste for the organization, thereby acknowledging his personal opinion but also implying it wouldn't manifest professionally. Next time he should write "sarcasm" on his munchkin dick before he slaps your fan base across the face with it, in order to avoid this confusion.
  14. Glad someone said it. Seemingly with every RJF post, I find myself fighting the urge to report it just to request an "anti-thank button". At which point, I stomp around my living room as such: http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view5/4452859/wanderlust-angry-brother-o.gif
  15. There's something to that absolutely. However, in my opinion, no GM should be evaluating players and their respective contracts with impact on attendance and revenue being considered. Team finances are not within the GMs control, they should be acting to assemble the best roster within the financial constraints they are given, not considering the implications of transactions on a budget they're ultimately not responsible for.
  16. I'd also say dealing with the media is a strength and a prerequisite for being Pres. Additionally, remaining involved with amateur scouting and player development, while being removed from roster management would be undeniably beneficial.
  17. Nevertheless, awareness of how others perceive him: intentional wok- 1 Moogy- 0
  18. To be fair, that's indicative of a lack of understanding regarding the value of framing and by extension WAR.
  19. Transactions like the Lawrie and Rasmus trades suggested at least an intuitive understanding of catch-all metrics of player value. However, that intuition didn't seem to extend to understanding that players like Reyes and MB don't have any surplus value on their contracts, not to mention the value of the assets it took to acquire them; or to the fact that defensively challenged catchers with monster bats still have more value than fat mediocre relievers.
  20. Intentional wok- the new Moogy- making compelling points but in the form of dissertations and without an obvious personality disorder.
  21. I really wouldn't be the least bit surprised if AA is promoted with LaCava and Tinnish moving up as well. I expect people will argue that it's a promotion that he hasn't really earned. However, I'd counter that under the new alignment, everyone is occupying a job more suited to their particular skill set. There's also something to be said for the value of promoting from within for the sake of consistency and familiarity.
  22. Can't put a price on not having to hear about this debacle any longer.
  23. Bespectacled Bearded Beret-wearing Bus-Driving Ballplayer might as well be: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m8tuzs27Ut1qhkufzo1_500.gif
  24. Cool lifestyle but I'm legitimately concerned that his left-arm is going to be bitten off by a shark or he's going to be in a horrible vanhouse accident without any modern automotive safety measures.
  25. Except there's 29 other fat chicks he was selling his services to this offseason, how they feel about his character/discretion isn't paramount but it's certainly a factor.
