But is Goins actually a better option than Izturis. Sure Izzy has looked quite bad this year, but I think everyone would agree he's capable of much more based on past performance - both offensively and defensively. Personally I'd go with Goins just because of his age and the fact that he's looked flawless at 2B.

Nope. One 3/4 good season is not enough, AA should only consider signing him to an extension if he continues to prove himself into next season.

Choo would be a dream LF IMO. But every team in baseball is going to want him ($$$). Wouldn't it make more sense to send Melky packing and keep Lind as a platoon vs righties? How can Melky DH, he has virtually no XBH power. I guess if Gose is strickly pinch-runner/4th OF then I don't mind letting Rajai go. I wonder if any team would actually make this trade. Arencibia is kind of dead-weight right now. Santos is injury prone. Janssen is not even a bonified closer. And Stroman doesn't project well. I figure he'll get more elsewhere and if he doesn't he'll probably still go elsewhere. We don't really know what we have with him yet. He's only had one good 3/4 of a season with us. But if he repeats next season then I can agree with this. TBH I'd be happy with almost anyone else behind the plate. Sadly might be our best option. Also Izturis is not nearly as bad as he's been this year. Overall, like it... not too crazy!
