  1. Why is Goins up? Seriously he is at best a late innings replacement for his defense. He simply cannot hit.
  2. AA: http://s1.dmcdn.net/ZmLT/526x297-s6M.jpg Wait, what? I have to make trades now? s***, why didn't anyone tell me?
  3. Sadly this is not true. This team's record after tonight over two seasons is 125-137.
  4. AA surrounded by other GM's. http://ohmars.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/spielberg-lucas-southpark.jpg
  5. These things do happen. This one springs immediately to mind: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/TOR/TOR199208280.shtml The problem is that this team is 125-137 and is clearly going down in every respect. There is a real opportunity here to recognize that the 'all in' experiment has been a failure and to rebuild with trades for good prospects. We cannot let this chance pass us by.
  6. Yes, yes that's it. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view6/2522990/johnny-english-explosion-o.gif
  7. Hahahahaha. Sorry this is now ridiculous hilarity: Mills comes on and gives up 7!! Beautiful. Check that waiver wire again tonight AA: you might find another gem....
  8. This game. Honestly, it would be hilarious if it wasn't so f***ing pathetic.
  9. Things that make me happy: 1) We didn't trade for Drew when we had the chance 2) Seeing Reyes give a big a grin just now 3) DFA'ing anybody for Brad Mills. f*** me.
  10. So this means he's out for how long I wonder? The information I'm reading on the interweb is not encouraging......
  11. Excellent post. We need to stop looking at Dickey as a number 1, 2 or even 3. I would liken him more to a Tim Wakefield who in his forties still ate innings for the Red Sox and was quite effective in that role. Dickey is never going to be what we hoped for or were told he was; the loss of Syndergaard and d'Arnaud are going to hurt us long term but that is AA's fault, not Dickey's.
  12. Problem is that would put Dickey out for 2 months and Reyes out for 6. We'd still pay them $36m mind.
  13. There is no doubt Reyes has had a nightmare tonight and his batting woes are clearly affecting his performance in the field. A day off is not an unreasonable suggestion at this point.
  14. Well that ended quickly. Still even with Kolby and Francisco working their way to their usual golden sombreros, 3 big runs! Beauty.
  15. Agreed. I would be shocked to see Lawrie back before the middle of August, especially given his history of injuries.
