  1. I wonder what the major league record is for different players used at 2B? Tolleson, Izturis, Lawrie, Goins, Getz, Diaz and we've only played a month!
  2. Wondered how long it would take http://rationalwiki.org/w/images/8/8a/Smiley-sex020.gif to pop up. Spanky, the answer to the question nobody asked.
  3. So did B. J. Ryan for four f***ing years (2003-2006). Don't you get it? http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=168&position=P s*** happens. Stats cannot and never will tell you the whole picture.
  4. Indeed. It's almost as infuriating as ignorant morons who tell us all that after this team has gone 87-104 since it was assembled that advanced statistics assure us that everything is all right.
  5. You seem to be completely missing my point. Santos missed virtually all of the 2012 season and most of the 2013 season with injuries after an excellent season for the Chisox: http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=4734&position=P There are parallels with B. J. Ryan. s*** happens, life happens, humanity happens. At the moment his confidence is shot and he cannot close a 7/11. He needs to go.
  6. Statistically B. J. Ryan should have been among the elite relievers in baseball in 2007 and beyond: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=rel&lg=all&qual=y&type=1&season=2006&month=0&season1=2006&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0 We gambled $47m on it.
  7. Sergio Santa Claus is ready to serve up more presents to the opposition if called upon again as closer. “We’re all human,” Santos said when asked about his confidence level. “Doubt creeps in, but I’m still going to have my confidence if my name gets called tomorrow. It’s just a matter of getting back out there and getting the job done.” Santa "is 0-2 with a 10.61 ERA, allowing five home runs in 10 innings with 21 base-runners. He has saved five of his eight opportunities." http://www.thestar.com/sports/bluejays/2014/05/02/blue_jays_snatch_defeat_from_jaws_of_victory_in_pittsburgh_griffin.html DFA this clown now, call up Stroman and put McGowan in the pen. Let Cecil close until Janssen is ready in about 2 weeks.
  8. Sorry, that should be dumb. And you're close-minded and wrong. I would love to hear your entertaining suggestions as to how to improve this situation; at least I'm trying FFS. The rest of the geniuses still here seem to be advocating that we just need better luck.
  9. Right. So as per my original post sign Drew and Morales and then trade one of the above players you mentioned for pitching help. Comprende?
  10. I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy:
  11. Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see: http://l2.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/oErpE_la1vnDJjgsh6k1GA--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7Zmk9ZmlsbDtoPTQyMTtweG9mZj01MDtweW9mZj0wO3E9NzU7dz03NDk-/http://media.zenfs.com/en_us/News/ap_webfeeds/c05b9a75c966610e510f6a706700e94a.jpg http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/28898650/v32549321/torpit-pirates-walk-off-on-martes-solo-home-run
  12. Great comeback. Seriously. http://www.canoekayakpoland.com/deliverance-3.jpg
  13. Dude I admire your optimism, I really do, but either we spend big again or we go home. We just lost to a 10-18 team (11-18 now of course) and we have no depth anywhere on the field. We are now bottom of the AL East and have a record of 87-104 with this team. Something has to give.
  14. First base? DH? Don't get me wrong I like Lind and EE, but they both get hurt and are not irreplaceable. Morales only costs money and it would give you more options on the bench and/or the trade market. It's not ideal, but it beats the hell out of this shower of shite.
  15. I can't believe it; it's the apocalypse. I actually agree with Wilmer - there's no f***ing point blowing this up yet again. Sign Drew and Morales now and get a bench. Then, trade some pieces and get some f***ing bullpen help. 21 years. I was in the mall a little while ago buying a blue jays cap and a young girl behind the counter said "I think the Jays may be better this year." i replied that I remembered when they were winning world series. She said without a hint of irony "Boy, I wasn't even born back then." f***.
  16. At least Wilmer is actually telling the truth about the bullpen and Santa in particular.
  17. It's these kind of losses that define a season, a team and an organization. DFA Santa. Now.
  18. I knew it. I just f***ing knew this would happen. We did everything right and then that fat f*** Gibbo puts on the useless piece of s*** Santa. This is just f***ing awful. If Santa has a job after tonight we are even shittier than I think we are.
  19. Santos has to go. Now. This is all on him and no-one else.
  20. And here we go. Santa starts the gift giving..... http://thestatecom.typepad.com/guesspert/images/2008/07/12/homerwind.jpg .....and here comes McCutchen.....
  21. Never been bettered as a setup combo. Although B.J. Ryan....wait....
  22. If not Santa, then Hapless. These are our options in the 9th. FFS.
