  1. "We thought we had offered fair market value by begging him to work for free, but he decided to go elsewhere."
  2. AA will only sign free agents to 1-year $0 contracts, meanwhile, casual fans continue to lap up the "nobody wants to sign in Toronto" spin. Gee, I wonder why free agents aren't lining up to come here.
  3. Are you kidding? That fanbase is the most spoiled in sports.... I wouldn't rule it out.
  4. What pisses me off is not that we're not getting Santana - it's that AA blatantly lied to the fanbase to cover his ass. Good luck selling tickets this year, dumbass!

  6. The Jays ARE my second team, it's just that my first team (Expos) no longer exists. I do like the Rays, A's, and Pirates though.
  7. We haven't been contracted yet. Our uniforms are nice. AA will probably be fired after another year of no playoffs. That's all I've got.
  8. Other than their performance at the Grammys with Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons is s***.
  9. They're probably deciding between "Radioactive" and some Drake song, only to cheap out at the last second and say, "f*** it, just play that Stadium Love song again."
  10. They'll find an even worse song. Hell, AA might even write a shittier one himself, not like he's spending his time productively anyway. Can't wait to hear our new theme song, "Hey Girl (I'd Sign You, But Your Value Isn't Quite Right for Our Organization)."
  11. He only knows big names and whoever's leading the league in ERA, dingerzzz and ribbies.
  12. Those big trades last offseason were classic Isiah-esque moves. Absolutely no patience for building the right way, and blowing a ton of money on a bunch of old career loser veterans and losing team.
  13. When you have one of the worst GM's ever, s*** like this isn't even surprising. Like I've said before, AA is the Isiah Thomas of the MLB.
  14. Is this clown ever right about anything?
  15. How so? If someone who actually gives a s*** and knows anything about baseball buys the Jays, that's the best thing that could happen.
  16. In a stunning move, Selig contracts the Red Sox, Yankees, Rays, and Orioles. Actually, scratch that - AA would still find a way to miss the playoffs even as the only team in the division.
  17. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the team's marketing department to see how they plan on selling tickets to this shitshow. Just to recap: - We were in last place last year and the laughingstock of the MLB - 20 years of no playoffs - AA gutted the farm and can't sign our draft picks, so we have no future - We have a top ten payroll invested in an old, flawed, and shallow team - AA sat and twiddled this thumbs all offseason while the rest of the division got better - AA lied about signing a starter when in reality, he hasn't even offered anyone - AA has managed to even piss off the "dingerzzz-and-ribbies" casual crowd with this wet fart of an offseason There's really no annoying song Metric can write this year that can polish this turd of a franchise, so how exactly are they going to sell tickets?
  18. It's very clear that the only thing AA's done this offseason is come up with excuses. I mean, this is an unreal level of incompetence.
  19. Their words mean absolutely nothing, they're both proven liars who just spout platitudes that the fans want to hear.
  20. I respect your attempts to polish this turd, but in reality, AA is simply a joke of a GM with absolutely no plan and no idea what he's doing.
  21. 1. You're assuming AA has actually planned for the future. 2. If he was going to wait until next offseason, don't blatantly lie to the fanbase about trying to sign a starter this offseason. 3. Even if he's interested in one of those guys, we won't get a single one of them because AA will be too busy fretting over "value" to make a competitive offer.
  22. I only still pay any even peripheral attention to this franchise because I'm loyal and not a bandwagoner. Other than that, it's tough to not be gloom-and-doom about a franchise that hasn't made the playoffs in 20 years and has shown no interest in ever making it back anytime soon.
  23. Hopefully AA and Beeston are already long since fired by the time draft day comes around.
  24. LMAO.... Fat Greek literally lying to the fanbase with that "but we're trying to sign a starter, honest!" comment. Fire him ASAP!
