  1. They have been solid. I still have an irrational paranoia about our pen. PTSD from '21 and last years playoffs. If Greene comes back as Greene thats such a huge add.
  2. Yimi has been better lately and given the price of established RP I don't fret too much about a year of $6M with the upside he brings. I think he was used incorrectly a lot sitting between innings. He doesn't seem to to perform as well in those situations.
  3. Its possible he was hurting. We are about to find out what Ryu we get. I didnt think he would ever throw another pitch for us, so anything of value is gravy. Soft tossers make me ner-vous. They have to be so fine. When it was over for Mark Burlhe it was over big time.
  4. Thats a best case scenario bud. Dont forget how bad Ryu was for a year before he went down. Almost unpitchable at times.
  5. The last sliders to J-Rod and Suarez were succulent. Watched them a few times on replay....perfectly located. Impossible to hit out.
  6. Phew!!! Proved me wrong on a Manoah start but Im happy about that! Romano hangs on. W is a W!!! Nice.
  7. Surprised that was conclusive to overturn. Suarez had no chance on Chappy as has to step out to avoid interfering in a play.
  8. horsehoes for us today. lets tack on! Shades of Buntoyo now
  9. Bo in a skid last few games. First of the year really. Looking more like the first 2/3rds of '22. Chasing everything.
  10. Lucky again. Mistake by Espy. Nice job Swanson.
  11. Agree with you. A dribbler got through. Bad play by Crawford. We got lucky.
  12. Varsho - top prospect + LGJ for premium sac bunter. Barf
  13. Ya, have to take that. Not great but as a 5th you can easily live with it.
  14. Alek giving us more than expected by hook or by crook. Ross vindicated lol Keep it rollin'
  15. That’s a nice Vladdy swing. He has the pop when he stays on it. Tie game
  16. Atta boy Alek. Maybe just maybe he will keep us in this. Looking a little better.
  17. Lol. Like Chatwood and Hand appearances in 21. Hard to let go of. Let’s hope the bats get rolling again today!
  18. This whole mess was set up in part the first game on the early hook (I’m usually never concerned with an early Kooch hook after 5 but he was electric Kooch). Just my view. Woo is shoving so far.
  19. 1 HBP. Spraying the ball all over mixed in with up and Center cut at 93/94. Been some hard contact. Nice grab Whit. Strap on your helmets in the IF.
  20. Spare me the lectures. Not my first rodeo with baseball but thanks.
  21. Nice mix with the sliders and then split. Man that’s just unfair.
  22. I would have gladly lived with it. Kooch didn’t have his normal command/stuff. He threw 25 fastballs 96 or better last night. Read the room.
  23. I think this is over stated but you aren't all wrong. There is a chance we look back on this Bo/Vlad era/window and the 2021 season was actually our best team and chance. I think a lot of the debate around this FO comes down to how Rogers defines a "sustainable winner". If its being "competitive" each season with a huge payroll and being around 88-92 W's because thats enough to keep fans going to games and watching, then its probably successful by that pure business standard for Rogers. Its part of the renos at Rogers Center reasoning. They want to attract casuals and corporate fans to the whole experience and give it a buzz. I mean look at SEA this weekend. Packed with Jays fans even after getting swept there last year for 4 and f***ing ourselves in the playoffs against them. Jose's Level of Excellent honoring game in August is a sell out already. For all Shapiro's comments in August 2017 about "waves" coming up from the farm in 2-4 years, its not transpired in terms of big impact players other than the obvious 2. And even there Vlad, who AA signed, has struggled to meet the potential. Same with Manoah. We drafted and/or traded for then dealt Gunner, SWR, Martin, Groshans, Moreno etc and jacked payroll. Easy to critique those guys as prospects/players in hindsight, but we brought them to this org and they were to be our top prospects. Some of their FA signings have been solid so far for sure. But to be honest, I had hoped that that element of this FO would not be their signature moves. On another note, compared to the Mets and SDP so far, we are doing well this year lol
