    A big finish from him would be awesome. Seems like we have been waiting for the "Mount Crushmore" Jose to show all season. He looked good last night. At this point I have more faith in Martin's bat than his. Lets go Jays!!

    ^ same. I don't know how many friends of mine still ask me about the Jays upcoming game arm and say "he has X wins doesn't he?" as if that's the determining factor in their view of how effective they will be. They even lay bets based on that. Then they go on to talk about Eddy's RBI total and how we need to play more small ball. Still...20 wins is pretty cool for the Happ man. Just sayin' Win today....we need the sweep!!

    I keep going back on PVR to watch those plays by Travis. They both weren't totally routine plays. Whats frustrating is he was there on both of them to make at LEAST one. Jesus. We have to get out bats going anyway. Iwakuma is making us look silly on some of these swings/takes. 5 Ks and counting.

    I agree with both of you. The offensive make up and approach has been troubling all season, and worse in this slump. I always thought our rotation was punching above their weight and our pen is average. Having said that you can pick apart any team still in the hunt and we have tons of talent that is capable of going on a roll...and just when you think its bleakest Marco delivers a f***ing gem last night! Always darkest before the dawn. Lets go Jays!!!

    2/36-38 for Jose. He will be 38/39 at the end of it so rebuilding value at that age is unlikely. I think Edwin's season is over rated. Lowest wRC+ since 2011 and K rate up 5%. 3.5 WAR. I'd hate to commit to more to more than 3. Rather take the picks. Its going to be interesting.

    I agree with this. When things go bad people pile on looking to do dissect narratives that can be created as possible reasons for the skid. When the Red Sox were skidding earlier Pussnuts Farrel was on the block etc. now they are rolling and all the talk and worries have washed away. I have hope they get hot at the end...win the WC game and then roll in the playoffs. I don't know what the mathematical probability of that is and don't care, but this team is very talented.

    I know that. He has also had some injuries. Im just contrasting(lamenting) what seemed to work last year for the final 70+ game of the season that is missing now.

    He has had a s*** yr in WAS so ill probably get slaughtered for this, but this team really misses what LHH Revere did for us 2015. No power and didn't walk much but he had a .354 OBP and was slashing the ball all over with speed. Tons of contact and only 28Ks. He played better D than we get from Saunders, who has had a miserable 2nd half along with Smoak who were supposed to be our LH bats.

    Travis one of the few guys producing, despite his bone headed base running 2 nights ago. Vetrin presents is one of the most over rated value adds in baseball. A young Yankees team just swept our asses. I'm finding it nauseating to listen to Buck and Tabby fap on about it while we get crushed in Sept.

    6 K's through 4. Holy f*** this line up is ice cold with men on base. Another leadoff 2B taken care of @ 3B for the 1st out. We have to come back and win this. Let's go Jays!

    Yup. Shoddy D, inability to string anything together....bad base running. All on a night you get a great start from Liriano and the BoSox sweep the Yanks.

    Just caught up in this game on PVR. Story of the season so far...inability to put balls in play hit with RISP and an anemic offense without the bomb. Travis running in front of Simmons wiping out a leadoff 2B. Brilliant guy to run in front of. Fall 3 back and we are down to a prayer for the division with this few gms left. Lets go Jays!
