Ya, for me Rowdy was a blend of tantalizing hope and suck. He has big pop and I always felt if given 600 PAs he would be a well above average bat. Personally he seems like a really good guy. Haven't looked in awhile but in 2020 sample his wRC+ was 130. Hope he continues to rake there, except against us. -
If we do make a wildcard game and it goes to the pen I will surely have a coronary incident.

Matz and the D looking good. Was that CLE for that Matz meltdown when he was cruising...then ESPY made a easy GB E at 3B and then the floodgates opened up on Matz and Pen, doused in Bad Jobu.

This Board will never forgive him for RA but he made some good deals. Didnt he go all in with his entire international budget on Vlad? f***, melancon blew the save. A's came back to tie it.

There was a ton of risk. Edwin had been DFA'ed in past. Nobody was sure they weren't one season wonders.

Watching SDP in 9th. Mark Melancon. Seems like he has been pitching pretty effectively forever...career 2.96 FIP with only a 92 MPH heater. Mostly in leverage without a super high K rate. He moves like he is wearing a neck brace. Must be part of the deception arsenal.

AA did similar with Edwin and Jose. Those contracts were steals for the Jays.

there is a decent chance he will get red hot. thats been his pattern. Ive rarely seen a guy so consistently predictable as to what he is at end of a full season. On another note Im excited to see what Pearson is in relief. I think how he does is huge one way or other.

Thats about the size of it. Randal and his 5/52 plus Roark 2/24 plus Yates/Chatwood/Hand mm OR Ray (insert other names here) 3/60. What would I rather have? This FO has made some great moves...but also some real duds. Guess you can say that about almost any FO, except COL, which seems to hit consistent dud moves.

A rash is the worst. That’s saying something. Great win. Just watched on PVR. Ryu sharp. This is my prayer to go over 7 games finally tomorrow. I may have to apologize to Spanky for my negativity before this is over yet!

Had high hopes for him when he came up in 19. He had such elite pitch selection. For quite awhile he was elite in MLB in hard contact, chase and BBs. League has figured him out and he hasn't been able to adjust. May never.

New starter...new stadium. Pen woes continue with additions. Jays have some work to do. I wish we could havent gotten Ramirez. Asking price must have been astronomical. His BABIP this year is only .240. He is having yet another good season.

Don't you find the apologists annoying? They don't argue for technology to address the inconsistency and incompetence. Rather, their answer is to remove the strike box from telecasts so we don't "show up" the umps all the time. As in, if it wasn't proven to us many umps were incompetent, we wouldn't actually know it. I get umping is hard. Thats really got nothing to do with it. Horses and buggies used to be highly effective locomotion at one point....we replaced them.
