    I liked what I saw of merryweather yesterday a lot and I like what I’ve seen of Pearson. Glass half full and prayer.

    Am I drinking my own bath water in thinking our pen looks pretty good now? Got some V on the right side and if Borucki has found it he adds a tougher lefty. Pearson and Merryweather juxtaposed against Richards change and Cimber funkiness. Soria still has decent stuff and crafty. Lots of looks. Thornton is gone again which is good news.

    The correlation between what he swings at and what he produces is so obvious. Good for him for improving his pitch selection. We all knew he had it in him.

    Who doesn't have issues with breaking balls away...especially behind in the count? Not many. Jansen was never as bad as he was for most of the year and he isn't as good as he is right now. Great to see him having some success. His overall numbers now make him a bona fide Catcher in the major leagues and its great to see.

    Yup. UNLESS we were playing those mashing Orioles at Camden...which won't be an issue in a 21 wildcard.

    Baez f***s up an easy DP to extend inning and then Hand, who got the DP ball, serves up a bomb to tie it for Stanton. The Mets suck. Don’t want anything to do with Baez.

    Depends on the package and if they think Gurriel is a 3 ish war player for $3mm aav and what else they can get to rebuild knowing eventually in 2 years they lose a 5 WAR player. Why did Oakland trade JD for Lawrie and change? Who knows. We’ve been surprised by lots of deals. Agree his options are a steal for CLE.

    No desire to trade him. However, its better that Gurriel Jr is an asset flexibility wise. The way he started 21, his value decreased. No interest in say...Jose Ramirez? Not saying its doable but he might be part of what goes back.

    Spank is the most optimistic, glass half full, Jays die hard fan on this Board drunk or sober. Props for that.

    Now save some runs for the next series boys, and throw strikes Matz. Congrats to both Teo and Vlad for cracking the century mark in RBIs (ya I know).

    Ump isn't giving outside. Giving inside. Don't expect to get outside. Throwing back to back change ups away against the 9 hitter. Has to come in with FB and its center cut = 2 more runs. Frustrating.

    Wouldn't Yankees would be crazy to not sign Marcus? If he was LHH it would be better for that park, but he is exactly what they need for next 3 years on offense and defense and just seems like a total pro.

    Ain’t happening. His age and cost. He will likely want to play SS to get max value. FO already signed a 30+ free agent to a big deal. 2 more years of an aging Ryu. Enjoy what’s left of this season. I’d be completely shocked if he is back.

    Got 4 stressful innings out of Hatch yesterday. His change up is solid. Needs to command it better. Can he be a 4-5? Soria looks to have things back on track. Richards looked good. Change was filth. Pearson struggled in his 2nd inning but overall I like what I'm seeing. Been a big asset.

    That was real bad. As bad as Baez’s throw to first in the mets Yankees game.

    Sorry about your mom. Very tough. It was all our war up in here with Weams and the hangout in 2016. He was a good sport about it all. RIP Weams. Brutal way to go.
