Can't believe we've already seen our first Tapia, Biggio, Zimmer lineup of the season less than a week of games into it. Imagine if they pinch-run Kirk in this game and Collins squeezes his way in there too. -

lol, now this is probably a "me" issue but I actually like engaging with people and reading replies. I don't just want to shout my own opinions into the void, I want to learn and hear what other people think too. It's probably a bad habit with how much negativity exists in sports fandom but I try to do the same on reddit as well, even when there are hundreds of replies on my posts. It helps me understand people and helps me understand the sport itself better. Just in the last few weeks there have been like six instances on here where someone corrected me or made me see something in a different way. And I appreciate that. I'm just past the point where I want to keep people who are trolling or being deliberately antagonistic in my periphery. It's a waste of time reading or replying to those comments.

For what it's worth, I predicted out loud in my living room earlier tonight that Vladdy is going to hit five home runs in this game. So if that happens, you can credit me.

There are even times when he's doing his video blogs or his live Q&A things where he almost seems personable. It's mostly his written persona that's extremely obnoxious. Plus I just realized he looks and sounds exactly like the guy who was responsible for shutting down our writing department and laying off me and my whole team at work a few weeks ago, so I have a new layer of disdain for him.

There's no worse feeling than getting repetitively ratio'd by a dumb douchebag who is very obviously incorrect to anyone with half a mind. Happens to me often on reddit but I'm glad I've never experienced it on Twitter, which is so much worse.

I mean in general, it's what gets brought up every time when an automatic strike zone is being discussed, both from fans and from people who cover baseball. "Well aykchually, robo umps still aren't perfect." Well no, but they're still a thousand times better than the garbage we have now.
